After graduating from high school, she took a year off before starting college, during which time she shaved her hea.d to participate in the "World's Greatest Shave" program, raising nearly $10,000 and donating more than 60 centimeters of hair to make four wigs for leukemia patients. Soon after, she left home for the first time to work at K'gari (Fraser Island), one of Australia's World Heritage Sites and the world's largest sand island. Driven by a passion for exploring the world, Jessica traveled solo across Europe at the ag.e of 19, catching 18 flights in six weeks, participating in conservation activities, and developing into a passionate young activist.

Jessica is pursuing a career in environmental journalism to inspire activism through storytelling. She believes that each person can make a difference in their sphere of influence and that by uniting as a community, we can make a real difference for the planet. It's important to stay informed about local issues, but a simple way to help from home is to shop sustainably.
