After a series of moments when Rosé wore a super adorable hat in Las Vegas, most recently, Jennie also made Vietnamese fans excited again by receiving the hat at the "Born Pink" concert encore in San Francisco.
Although the Born Pink concert in Hanoi has long ended, the image of BLACKPINK girls wearing hats still makes Vietnamese fans recover. During a rehearsal ahead of her concert in San Francisco today, Jennie made headlines when she received a leaf hat from fans.
In the series of photos shared, Jennie could not hide her excitement when wearing a blue leaf hat printed with her own image along with symbols of Vietnam, from a map with Truong Sa and Paracel to the words "See love, with the phrase "Are you happy" at the Born Pink concert in Hanoi.
V-BLINK joked that with these "mentions" about Vietnam, fans will still "miss" BLACKPINK's Hanoi concert for a long time, even more expecting the girls' earliest comeback.
According to research, the owner of these special leaf hats is YouTuber Master Beo U40.
The YouTuber said: "I decided to book flights, concert tickets and make accommodation and booking expenses within exactly one week before officially departing for the US.
With the project "Vietnamese hats in your area", I have exactly 5 days to complete them all. Thanks to the help from the online community, I have successfully contacted 4 reputable sources of conical hats in Hanoi, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai to promptly order"
Initially, Mr. Beo only planned to bring 10 hats to randomly give to some of Blackpink's international fans at music nights.
After a day of sharing this information on social networks, realizing the great support from the Vietnamese fan community in the US, he decided to "play big", change the scale of implementation, increase the number of cones to more than 200 pieces.
These hats will be divided equally and distributed for free to all Blackpink fans at 4 bridge points in New Jersey, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco (USA).
Talking about the difficulties in the implementation process, Mr. Beo expressed: "Even when I was in Vietnam, the implementation process encountered all kinds of "tribulations". The most difficult, the biggest pressure for me is probably racing against time and the weather does not favor it.
The weather in Vietnam at this time is mostly rainy and less sunny, so the cones painted by the artisans will not be able to dry in time. The shipping schedule was pushed back compared to the original plan, leading to many unintended costs."
At one point, Mr. Beo felt desperate and helpless when he heard that 50 cones from Las Vegas (USA) transported from Hue to Ho Chi Minh City had arrived late and could not be packed in time.
Mr. Beo said: "When I heard the news, I burst into tears at the hotel, anxious, not knowing what to do because it was the last way to transport the hat to Las Vegas, USA.
Luckily, when I shared this story with groups, I was supported by everyone, who managed to get those hats to the U.S. in time for the show. I am touched by the spirit of solidarity of the Vietnamese fan community."
When receiving information about the cones not being transported in time to the prescribed time, Mr. Beo was fortunate to receive support from the Blink Vietnam community in Las Vegas and Los Angeles (USA). All team members are sympathetic, actively sharing the cost of transportation from Vietnam to the US with him.
Mr. Beo did not want to disclose the specific amount of investment for this project. SN 1988 hopes that this small job of mine will contribute to spreading the spirit and culture of Vietnam to the biggest stadiums in the US.
Mr. Beo U40, real name Tran Tuan Dat was born in 1988, originally from Dong Nai. He is both a lecturer and a popular YouTuber on social media with 5 million followers on the account. After graduating from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City, he received full master's scholarships in Thailand and Korea. In 2014, he returned home and became a university lecturer. The lectures that create a lot of excitement have become a brand associated with Tuan Dat's name.
Especially with his interest in music, Tuan Dat often reacts (re-enacts), analyzes MVs of famous groups and singers such as Blackpink, BTS, Lady Gaga ... much to the delight of the online community. In addition to teaching and setting up a TikTok channel, he also indulged his passion for singing when he set up his own YouTube channel to cover hot songs. As a student, he won the Gold Award of the HCMC Student Singing Festival 2010. And yet, Tuan Dat is also a bilingual MC, speaker in many community attraction programs.
