Huynh Vu Thach is known as a former member of the band Cicada and a lecturer at Hong Bang University. On the morning of January 14, the news of his death shocked his colleagues and fans.
Huynh Vu Thach was born in 1989 in Quang Nam. Since childhood, the male singer has participated in cultural activities at the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House. After that, he worked as a member of the child music group Cicada with 4 other names including: Anh Huy, Hong Quang, Khuong Duy and Anh Tuan.
The group once released the album "Let's Light a Candle" with the song of the same name and songs such as: Summer Out on the Street, Dreams, Cute Looks, Back to the Sea, Talking to Cicadas, Still Remembering, Hoi Full moon,...
In 2006, Huynh Vu Thach released his first DVD - karaoke titled "Year Months Together" (produced by Tung Productions). The project selected 10 songs by musicians: Trinh Cong Son (Red Rain), Tran Thanh Tung (My Beloved Homeland, Years Together), Tuan Khanh (Sing With Love), Nguyen Ngoc Thien (Let's Sing ), Mai Thu Son (Path of Childhood)...
In particular, Huynh Vu Thach also contributed a song he composed to his music product, which is "Canh Phuong". After this period, he decided not to pursue art anymore but turned to the media field.
The former singer majored in International Relations at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, graduating in 2011. Next, he studied for a master's degree in Communication Management at the University. Stirling University (Scotland, UK).
In 2009 - 2016, Vu Thach was a familiar announcer for VOV Traffic channel, Voice of Vietnam. After that, he worked as an editor for the Vietnam National Assembly Television channel. Besides journalism work, the former Cicada member is also a communications specialist for many individuals and organizations.
From 2018 to present, Huynh Vu Thach has been a lecturer at Hong Bang International University. In addition, he is also known as the media manager of Vietnamese stars such as: Nam Em, Miss Pham Huong, supermodel Minh Tu... and is married and has 2 children.
Recently, Huynh Vu Thach's family announced that he passed away at 6:25 a.m. on January 14, after 2 days of hospitalization due to a stroke, at the age of 35. Specifically, on the morning of January 12, the former member of Cicada had a headache so he asked an acquaintance to take him to Gia Dinh People's Hospital (HCMC). After that, he fell into a coma and was diagnosed with a stroke and died here.
According to colleagues, Huynh Vu Thach is a kind person, devoted to his work, cute and considerate. That's why the news of his sudden death shocked many people.
On social networks, many artists, upon hearing the bad news, sent their condolences to the former singer's family. Vo Ha Tram wrote: "Rest in peace, "cicada" Huynh Vu Thach, what a sad day." Artist Kim Xuan shared the memory of the meeting between himself and journalist Huynh, and expressed his condolences.
Actress Ngoc Lan also posted on her personal page: "Today, goodbye to my very gentle brother, congratulations on completing an excellent life. Please protect your wife and children in your own way. "Goodbye, Huynh Vu Thach."
Singer My Tam emotionally spent 1 minute commemorating the former member of Cicadas who just passed away at her fan meeting. "Thach just passed away. When he was alive, he always supported activities. I'm sorry that I haven't had the chance to meet him recently. So, let's take a minute to remember Thach with me." , she said.
Sharing with VietNamNet reporters, singer Tra Ngoc Hang "stopped breathing" when she heard the news of Huynh Vu Thach's death. She, the former singer and a brother are a close trio, accompanying each other in work and life for the past 6 years.
On January 11, a group of close friends met for lunch, talked about the old year and shared some plans for the future. In the middle of the meal, Tra Ngoc Hang also surprised her two seniors with a beautiful bouquet of flowers to celebrate 6 years of friendship.
The female singer also invited Huynh Vu Thach and his brother in the group to come to her house for a sumptuous meal, as is their annual habit before everyone goes home to celebrate Lunar New Year. At that time, the former Cicada group member was still healthy, showed no signs of anything wrong, and even said he would go to a housewarming dinner with his wife in the evening. The next morning (January 12), Tra Ngoc Hang was stunned when she heard that he was hospitalized for a stroke.
Two days after her senior was hospitalized, the female singer went to three temples in Ho Chi Minh City to pray. "I have been a vegetarian for several years but still occasionally eat salty food due to my culinary business. I vowed to be an absolute vegetarian for 1 year, spending 20% of my income every month on charity if Mr. Thach recovered, but in the end it was a miracle. didn't happen," she choked up.
Starting at 8:00 a.m. on January 14, friends and colleagues of Huynh Vu Thach can pay their respects at the funeral home of Military Hospital 175 (Ministry of National Defense). His coffin and photo were solemnly decorated with many flowers surrounding him.
It was noted that at the funeral, the family and relatives of the former Cicada member performed the mourning ceremony and began welcoming visitors to say goodbye. Many of his colleagues and friends were present and burned incense for the late singer. Everyone could not hide their sadness and emotion at this sudden departure.
Inside the funeral area, there is an obituary and a notice board about the use of funeral money. It is known that all funeral money will be donated to charity funds that Huynh Vu Thach participated in during his lifetime.
The burial ceremony for the former member of the Cicada group will take place tomorrow (January 16), after which the coffin will be buried at Hoa Vien Cemetery in Binh Duong.
