The actor confided: "After graduating, I, like some of my colleagues at that time, strived to express myself. However, the opportunity in the past was less than now. I used to go to the stage for 5,000 VND for a performance.

I remember the period when Mr. Quyen Linh performed for the Saigon Theater stage, I still wanted him to jam the sho.w to act. Later, I joined the comedy group."

In 2004, Huy Cuong married drama actor Hoang Lan. At this time, he left the comedy group and opened a record store with his wife. The economy of his wife is tight and deprived. "There was a time when 2 couples passed by a pho shop but did not dare to eat because the bowl of pho cost 15,000 VND," he recalled.

In the program Connectors, actor Huy Cuong shared, at one point he planned to give up art, find another direction to make a living and cover life. However, artist Duy Phuong "pulled" him to perform. Thanks to that, his passion arose, and then stuck with the profession to this day.

He confided: "I guess I am still predestined for the profession. At "Decoding Soulmates", Huy Cuong shared that their love came from their friendship when they were both in the same Theater school in the 90s. At that time, the actor was still in difficulty, did not have the conditions to pay the fund and Hoang Lan quietly paid for him. The amount of only 10,000 VND at that time is what helps bond the relationship between the two until now.

However, after getting married, the two used to have a difficult time. In 2004, Huy Cuong left a comedy group that had been with him for a long time to switch to business. He had to spend every penny to open a record store with his wife. The actor recalled: "Even a bowl of pho for 15,000 VND, the couple didn't dare to eat it", all the mone.y earned to put all the capital into trading.

8 years later, the couple switched to the snail shop business again. Because he is an actor, Huy Cuong receives a lot of love from the audience and diners also want to meet him at the restaurant.
