Coldzy: Karik's student, whose past was ruined by love, revived through music

Coldzy's real name is Do Hoang Hai, born in 2000. If anyone has ever followed this guy, they will have long known him by the rap name HD, not his current name. But things did not go as expected for Coldzy, when his music product in collaboration with Tlinh called Fever was considered a toxic cultural product for young people, with explicit sexual content. The song was performed by him and female rapper/singer Tlinh, included in the album Medicine. As of June 24, the audio version currently has more than 875,000 listens and received more than 1,000 comments.

Besides a few favorable comments, the song was criticized by the majority of the audience for its offensive, vulgar lyrics and not being labeled 18. Many comments asked the authorities to intervene and remove the product. This is to avoid affecting young people.

"As someone who studies culture and its influence on human perception, especially young people, I am really concerned about Coldzy and tlinh's new song called Fever.

I always agree that artists are free to create art and express their own views in their work, but when the product is released to the public, there is a risk of affecting the younger generation and themselves. Artists themselves need control, and at the same time they also need social supervision and management. Maybe your perception and worldview are normal (because you have a certain subjectivity in looking at the problem), but that doesn't mean you have the right to freely make mistakes."

Coldzy's adjustment in warning the age of watching videos for 18 year olds is necessary. However, we need more measures than that to avoid the widespread release of cultural products that are not appropriate for the age group and not suitable for Vietnamese culture, affecting the awareness of young people.

Young artists like Coldzy and tlinh are all very good and have been recognized. These stumbles are necessary so that they can realize what they need to improve and take the right direction. We should frankly admit mistakes, but we should also give them the opportunity to overcome and correct their mistakes and at the same time give them time to grow."
