Chi Pu opening a pho shop in China is criticized for not being pure Vietnamese, what is the reason?

Pho shops in many countries around the world clearly state "pho" or "Vietnamese pho" or Vietnamese.

Inside the shop there is no trace to show the pride of Vietnamese cuisine or remind of the homeland.

Beauti-pho (a stylized inscription in the café space) deviates from beautiful and in this word can be interpreted as "beautiful pho", which has nothing to do with Vietnam."

The girl gave a series of pictures comparing with other pho shops abroad, to defend the argument that disparages La Gánh's non-"pure Vietnamese".

Right under the comment section, many people voiced "universal knowledge" while defending Chi Pu. Because, inherently, the burden in China is not owned by Chi Pu alone. She and two of her other friends, Chengling Zhang and Helen Trinh, co-founded. But Chi Pu's two friends are Chinese, so it is natural that the restaurant of 3 people must have a cross between 2 countries.

One account left a reasonably sensible comment that was widely supported: "How many dimsum bars have to say Chinese?". And it is clear that when Pho is kept original by the Oxford dictionary all letters, accents and bars in accordance with Vietnamese pronunciation, why fear that others do not know that it is Vietnamese cuisine?

In addition, this girl also criticized the food that is not standard Vietnamese Pho. The post of this account said that the taste of pho in Luo Ganh Shanghai completely "lost its root", not feeling the smell of hometown. Not only that, the girl is not afraid to disparage iced tea and coffee at the shop. She also closed her opinion with the following content: "Pho is included in the Oxford dictionary, so what is the excuse to adapt pho to suit Chinese tastes?"

It was this key sentence that made the girl receive a series of rebuttal comments and said that she has money to travel but lacks life knowledge and also knowledge about business and trade.

Moreover, after all, it is only a personal feeling of a diner who only eats exactly 1 time when he has the opportunity to visit this land. On the contrary, Chinese people are very satisfied and like the taste of pho in La Ganh.

From the end of September 2023, when the Chi Pu pho restaurant starts trial sales. During the Chinese National Day holiday from 29/9 to 6/10, the restaurant welcomes customers 'full week'.

Until October 13, Chi Pu's pho shop officially opened in Shanghai after three weeks of trial sales. The Hecheng-born singer came to the store early to welcome diners and close artists in China to support.

Although the shop opened at 11am on October 13, from the evening of October 12, a large number of Chi Pu fans came to the store, standing outside the door to 'energize' her.

Here, each bowl of pho costs 90 yuan (about 300,000 VND). Side dishes such as fritters cost 7 yuan (24,000 VND) and blanched eggs cost 5 yuan (17,000 VND). The cup of lotus tea costs about 65,000 VND.

Because the space is quite small, it can only seat a maximum of 10 people at a time, although the restaurant still has a stable number of customers regularly. It shows that Luo Ganh is very much supported by the Chinese and that Chi Pu's decision to choose to adjust to suit the taste of the local population is absolutely right.
