The moment that Jennie (BlackPink) and V (BTS) were said to be holding hands and walking along the Seine River in 2023 has caused social media to explode. Recently, the photographer who captured that "shocking" moment revealed the story of how he "caught" the couple.

Jennie is a girl who always receives special attention in the idol music world. Therefore, it is not surprising that her private life is always in the public eye. Previously, each of Jennie's dating rumors consumed a lot of ink in both Korean and international media.

In May 2023, photos of Jennie (Blackpink) and V (BTS) on a date in Paris were spread all over social media, making fans restless. At first, fans thought that this was just a photo of a couple, even suspecting that it was a photoshopped photo. However, the photos of the two with their manager in outfits and accessories that completely matched the recorded photos further reinforced the rumor that the famous couple was dating.

The couple's moments at the time were reportedly captured by French photographer Amar Taoualit. During a recent appearance on the Sabo Production podcast, he revealed how he captured and filmed the video.

Amar explained that he often took photos of American celebrities and was initially not interested in V and Jennie. However, a friend, a huge K-pop fan, tipped him off that they were in Paris.

He added that there was no public information about Jennie being in Paris and that she was believed to be in Thailand. After filming the video, Amar waited three days before uploading it to avoid fans disturbing the two celebrities and flocking to the area.

To film the scene, Amar waited for an hour or two outside a club on the Champs-Élysées until he saw the two leaving hand in hand. After sending the photo to his friend, who confirmed that the photo was remarkable, he took his bike and followed them. Although he lost them for a moment, he found them again near the pier. They passed him and took a photo at the Eiffel Tower, but when they noticed him, he stopped filming.

Security then approached him but left after deciding he was no threat to the two idols. Amar continued to follow them to the pier, noticing the increased security and discreetly recorded the video. He filmed for 1 minute and 30 seconds and confirmed their identities with a friend who passed by and recognized them.

Eventually, Korean media outlets contacted him for the video, but Amar refused and posted it on his social media accounts.

The suspicion that Jennie (BlackPink) and V (BTS) were secretly dating quickly became a hot topic on social media at that time. In response to the news that caused a stir in public opinion, the management companies of these two artists, YG and HYBE, both gave vague responses.

According to Sports Seoul, in a public statement, the two agencies shared: "It is difficult to confirm this issue because it is the artist's private life." The management company's move did not come as a surprise, even as netizens had previously predicted that YG and HYBE would respond with content that neither denied nor acknowledged the above.

This is not the first time Jennie and V have been caught up in dating rumors. In May 2022, photos believed to be of the famous stars traveling together on Jeju Island suddenly went viral online.
