Over the years, occupational accidents caused by exploding oxygen cylinders have shown no signs of abating, causing damage to the health, lives of workers and workplace property. Therefore, workers when using oxygen cylinders and compressed air cylinders need to follow some safety rules as follows:
Absolutely do not use gas cylinders that are too old, without safety testing. Attention should be paid to the test mark, which shows the time to be tested, the time when the test is out and the pressure to be tested.
Operators of gas cylinders must be trained and tested to meet the requirements of professional knowledge, safety inspection procedures for operation of pressure equipment and must be assigned responsibilities in writing by the employer.
The operator must regularly check the operating status of the tank and measurement test instruments such as manometers, safety valves, pressure control relays. After the shift, sediment and standing water must be drained in the tank.
Periodically clean the air filter of the compressor at least every 2 months to prevent dust and impurities from entering the suction tract.
Compressed air cylinders must not be placed in, or near residences, must be at least 5m away from heat sources, not placed in flammable or explosive places. Before moving the portable compressed air tank, it is necessary to cut off the power supply and discharge all the pressure in the tank.
In case it is detected that the pressure in the tank increases beyond the permissible level, or the safety mechanisms are not perfect; damaged manometer; The main pressure parts of the tank have cracks, bulges, rust ... then it is necessary to immediately stop the use of compressed air cylinders to ensure safety.
