Aquaman 2 and interesting mysteries await: Black Manta's black trident, 7 kingdoms theory

After the resounding success of the first part, fans had to wait another 5 years until the sequel Aquaman was released. The work, titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, is still directed by "witch" James Wan, and is expected to be released to Vietnamese audiences from December 22.

The Lost Kingdom and the seven kingdoms theory

After Atlantis sank into the ocean according to legend, the Seven Seas region was officially formed including Atlantis, Xebel, Trench Kingdom, Brine Kingdom, Fishermen Kingdom, Deserter Kingdom and Valor Kingdom. Each "sea region" has its own ethnic group, its own society and its own leader. However, the Seven Seas region has a king, Arthur Curry - Aquaman.

Part 2 Aquaman mentions "The lost kingdom" - the lost kingdom. Previously, James Wan once "teased" on his personal page that this lost kingdom was called Necrus. According to DC comics, Necrus is the second kingdom to sink into the ocean after Atlantis. Necrus is ruled by the Mongo, and is quite a warlike people.

Aquaman's golden trident

To become the ruler of the Seven Seas, Aquaman must win the golden trident that represents the throne. Previously, "emperor" Atlan sealed the trident and ordered the sea monster Karathen to guard it.

That's why in Aquaman, Arthur Curry confronted Karathen to get Atlan's trident. In fact, Arthur Curry inherited the throne not because he defeated Karathen, but because he was truly the descendant that Atlan sought.

Black Manta's black trident

In contrast to Aquaman's golden trident, the black trident is an equally powerful weapon that will appear in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom this time. Black Manta is the owner of a black trident, containing dark magic that can destroy all humanity. Aquaman debuted in the DC extended cinematic universe from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). But it was only 2 years later that this hero had his first solo film. James Wan's brainchild has created a fever that has swept the global box office.

Many people believe that 5 years is too long a time for Aquaman to return to the big screen. Perhaps, after the success of the original film, the company should have brought this hero back sooner. Before the release date was set for December 22, the Aquaman sequel was postponed many times. The rescheduling also makes the timeline in the DCEU inconsistent, making Michael Keaton's role as Batman likely to be cut.
