Incident with elderly woman picking up bottle ticks: Victim begs but subject still refuses

The police of Binh Duong province have just held a press conference to inform about the situation of a number of cases occurring in the area this morning (April 3), including a serious case that occurred in Phu Dao district.

Accordingly, a representative of the Provincial Police Criminal Police Department said that Nguyen Minh Hoang (born in 2005, living in Phuoc Hoa commune, Phu Dao district) has been criminally detained as a suspect in causing the death of Ms. N.T.M (born in 1949, in Phuoc Hoa commune, Phu Dao district).

Earlier, at about 4:20 am on March 30, residents found an elderly woman lying motionless on the side of the road in hamlet 1A, Phuoc Hoa commune, Phu Dao district. There was blood on his head, next to which a motorcycle fell on the road, carrying some boxes of scrap paper.

After receiving the information, the Provincial Police Criminal Police Department coordinated with relevant units to conduct a scene examination, autopsy and search for the perpetrator.

Through the search, the police identified and arrested Nguyen Minh Hoang. After a moment of tortuousness, denial, knowing he could not escape, Hoang admitted to the murder.

According to the initial testimony, around 2pm on March 30, the subject drove a motorbike BKS: 61K1-018.xx on the roads in Phuoc Hoa commune looking for people to rob.

When he saw Mrs. M. setting up her motorbike to pick up bottles in front of the back gate of the kindergarten in Phuoc Hoa commune, Hoang stopped to observe. After picking it up, Mrs. M. returned to her motorcycle to leave when the subject walked behind her and struck her on the back of the head with a tree.

When Mrs. M. fell to the ground, pleading and calling for help, he continued to "strike" the back of the neck with a sharp object several times, preventing the victim from surviving. When he saw a lot of blood, Hoang took his motorbike and took the evidence and left the scene. Arriving home, Hoang washed the crime item and stored it on top of the closet.

According to Colonel Tran Van Chinh, Deputy Director of Binh Duong Province's Police, the purpose of the subject is to rob property, but no wrongdoing has been committed.

As for the information that Nguyen Minh Hoang is a member of the civil defense force of Phuoc Hoa commune, the police leader of Binh Duong province said that this person is only in the probation period.

At a press conference held on the morning of April 3, the Binh Duong Provincial Police Directorate also commended the units involved in quickly solving the case.

Also today, police forces arrested prisoner Mai Van De (born in 1991, Hai Giang village, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province) who escaped from prison No. 5, C10 - Ministry of Public Security, when he was hiding in the pine forest area of Ha Linh commune, Ha Trung district.

"I have just received information that the police force arrested prisoner De in the mountainous area where he abandoned the taxi on the side of the road last night on April 2," said a Ha Linh commune leader.

Previously, as reported by the Lao Lao Newspaper, in the afternoon of April 2, inmate Mai Van De while working took advantage of the loophole to escape from Prison No. 5 under the Ministry of Public Security (located in Thong Nhat town, Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province).

In the process of escaping, when arriving in Ha Trung district, inmate De hijacked a taxi, then abandoned the taxi in Ha Linh commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa. The police of Ha Trung district have also issued a notice to residents to be vigilant to protect themselves and their families. At the same time, mobilize forces to coordinate the pursuit. At more than 16 hours on April 3, after nearly 24 hours of escaping, Mai Van De was arrested.
