Duc Tien's wife continued: "In America, unlike in Vietnam, they don't use euphemisms, they say 'died', meaning dead. After hearing that, I couldn't cry because I was so shocked. I told the nurse: 'No, that's not my husband. There are many Vietnamese people here, it's not just my husband'.

The nurse explained that they had been performing CPR for an hour and a half but it was not working. They had shocked his pulse six times and injected medicine straight into his heart but could not save him. I still did not believe it, kept saying that it was not my husband because my husband had just arrived, the ambulance was still outside, how could they have been performing CPR for more than an hour?"

Hearing this, many viewers could not help but feel sorry for Binh Phuong having to face her husband's sudden departure alone, and also mourn Duc Tien's death in a foreign land.

"I told the nurse to take me to see Mr. Tien. On the way, I imagined in my head that I would arrive at a hospital room with many people in emergency care, but when I arrived, there was only Mr. Tien lying there, with the artificial respiration tube still intact. I could not accept the truth, so I tried to run out and said that my husband was still warm, why did they stop the artificial respiration, they had to do more.

They said they did everything they could, nothing more. When they arrived at Tien's emergency room, he had no heartbeat. They had to perform CPR on the way to the hospital, but they continued to do it when they got there, but they couldn't save him, so they decided to stop.

It was an extremely difficult decision for them. There were two doctors who helped Tien that day. Only then did I accept the truth. After accepting the truth, I picked up the phone and called everyone. The first person I called was Tien's mother. I cried while calling," Binh Phuong choked up.

After Duc Tien was confirmed to have passed away on May 19, a lot of information related to the actor was posted and spread on social media. For example, friends revealed that he had a heart condition since childhood or that Binh Phuong was pregnant with her second child.
