In an interview with VTV, Trung Cuong revealed: "Today's run is quite beautiful, a bit hilly. I have one uncle in particular who was running when he was chased by a dog. I ran pace 320. Being chased by dogs, I ran under 3. I finished with a time of 47 minutes and 38 seconds at 15 km."
A viewer later posted a video online of the moment Trung Cuong was chased by a dog on the run. The author of the article also commented: "This athlete with his efforts and the help and resonance of the homestead on the track has finished first in the 15km distance of the cross-country tournament system".
This year's Hai Duong Open Cultural Heritage Connection Cross Country Tournament took place in Con Son, Kiep Bac. The tournament attracted more than 850 professional and movement athletes, competing in distances: 5km, 10km and 15km, including many national players.
While Trung Cuong finished first in the men's 15km professional event, the women's championship went to Nguyen Thi Oanh. In the 10km distance, Le Van Thao won the men's event while Bui Thi Thu Ha won the women's event. The 5km distance was won by Luong Duc Phuoc and Doan Thu Hang, respectively.
Trung Cuong was born in 2000, a native of Ky Thuong commune, Ky Anh Ha Tinh district, is the owner of the gold medal in the 3,000m hurdles SEA Games 32 with a record of 8 minutes 51 seconds 99.
