After that, I spent the whole week, just learning about heart attacks. When I focus on it, I feel like I love it all the time. After 6 years when I graduated as a general practitioner, I realized that I wanted to treat people with cardiovascular diseases."

Professor Nguyen Hanh De, former Head of Surgery of the Department of Cardiology – Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, commented: "Cardiology is one of the most difficult specialties of medicine. This is a key field, focusing on emergency, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Cardiologists have to work under a lot of pressure, because they are directly exposed to emergency situations, which require high skill and absolute precision."

In the context that cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the world as well as in Vietnam, the role of cardiologists has become even more important. This is a high-intensity and high-pressure specialty, but it offers a great opportunity to save lives and improve the quality of life for millions of patients.

Therefore, the fact that an excellent young doctor chooses Cardiology instead of other specialties is said to be a brave step, and at the same time sends hope to the new generation of doctors.
