TikToker and 2022 shock all the front: From disparaging the poor to posing in front of the plane

Every day, on the TikTok platform, it is easy to come across a series of videos with content creators of all ages, occupations, and genders. They can do it all, from food reviews, makeup, cooking, dancing, singing, playing games, trending to other weird things. Many accounts are ready to create objectionable content to increase interaction and popularity to earn more money. This is the dark side that can be seen in some of the most controversial cases of the past year.

Taking advantage of the poor

No O NO (real name Pham Duc Tuan) was harshly criticized by the online community after posting the clip "What do the poor eat No O NO to eat" at the end of November. In the name of "doing nice things" but male TikToker again uses disrespectful words to lonely elderly people like "Hello poor old lady in the middle of a lonely winter", "Reduce your poverty. No one will help you all the time", "Oh my god, pho is so cheap, but you still can't afford it. Don't have money to buy food anymore?"

The wave of calls to boycott No O NO quickly spread, even being responded by many celebrities. On the afternoon of November 28, TikTok Vietnam permanently locked No O NO's channel with more than 600,000 followers for posting content that did not match the platform's community standards.

A day later, No O NO continued to be inspected by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, making a violation report and fined 7.5 million VND for providing and sharing information that is not in accordance with the law. the customs of the nation.

Confronting restaurants

Before the above incident, No O NO many times caused controversy with review clips (experience and give reviews) of restaurants. Nam TikToker is famous for his nickname "holy food everywhere" because of his harsh comments for most of the places he goes to.

From here, even some reviewers, after having a certain number of followers, begin to become delusional, thinking that they have the "right to kill" with any business that they do not like. This type of behavior spread strongly online, causing many scandals.

Many restaurant owners said they welcome reviewers to take pictures and record clips of experiences, but are also worried about being taken out as "bait", back and forth to fish for views on social networks. Some even ban the "review god" because they do not want to be affected.

Airport chaos

In mid-August, the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam issued a decision to ban flights for 6 months (from August 17, 2022 to the end of February 16, 2023) with LMXY (26 years old, residing in Ninh Kieu, Can Tho) because the act of posing for a TikTok shot at the runway. Accordingly, this female passenger was walking freely on the runway of Phu Quoc airport to record a clip and post it on her channel. Although the clip has been removed, LMXY still receives many criticisms for its behavior that threatens flight safety.

At the end of July, another prank causing an airport riot was also recorded when a girl named HKT squatted on the baggage carousel at Tan Son Nhat airport to film a TikTok clip. The leader of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam affirmed that this behavior is not only offensive, but can be dangerous and unsafe for the operator himself.

Not stopping there, the trend of placing the phone at the window of the plane and then pulling the visor to record a video of the plane taking off and landing is also an ugly trend of TikToker in the past year. This is strictly prohibited because of the risk of fire or explosion.

Selling fake goods

In mid-December, Truong Nha Dinh, a TikToker with 2.6 followers, livestreamed selling a variety of lipsticks, eye creams, serums... of famous beauty brands on TikTok Shop. The price of products that are ordered on the livestream is only 1/4, 1/5 of the original price of cosmetics sold in stores, genuine stores.

However, after receiving the goods, some customers began to respond that from packaging, labels to product quality, there were many questionable points. On December 24 and 26, the official Facebook pages of two cosmetic brands Estee Lauder Vietnam and MAC Cosmetics respectively posted warnings to customers about fake and unknown products spreading on TikTok Shop. Both of these sites use images believed to be of Truong Nha Dinh.

At a glance, it can be seen that the name tiktoker is becoming increasingly offensive and causing many controversial opinions. In addition to many humanistic and meaningful content, there are still a series of dirty content, regardless of view.
