According to the announcement from the interdisciplinary working group of Nha An city, the investigation has clarified many issues. First, the working group confirmed that the pair of earrings was a gift from a friend of Ms. Tu Mo Ha (Mr. Duong Vi's wife) in 2016, was a fake product following the design of a famous brand, made of glass material and had no special value.

Second, business violations by civil servants: Investigation results show that from 2011 to 2017, while still a civil servant in Nha An, Mr. Duong Vi and three other officials established a business company under the names of relatives, illegally. The money was then divided equally among four people, each receiving 30,000 yuan. All of the illegal profits have now been recovered. Mr. Duong Vi was not disciplined because he had left the payroll and was not a party member.

Third, the act of falsifying personal information and violating the child birth policy: Mr. Duong Vi was discovered to have intentionally concealed the illegal birth of his second child when he took the exam and applied for a government job in 2010. His second child was born in Shenzhen in January 2011, before he was officially hired. It was not until 2013 that he registered his child's household registration in his hometown of Ha Nam.

According to the regulations at that time, this behavior could result in dismissal or contract termination. However, because Mr. Duong had left his work unit and the regulations on penalties for illegal childbirth had been abolished, he could not continue to be administratively handled. Finally, the authorities concluded that the investigation did not uncover any other violations during Mr. Duong's time working at Nha An.
