She said: "Recently, Ms. Ngoc Trinh passed away, shocking our entire artist world. No one expected Ms. Ngoc Trinh to pass away so suddenly. I love him very much. I was really surprised and sorry for her, but I couldn't go to her funeral.

Ms. Ngoc Trinh and I have a great relationship. In the past, I was a junior of Ms. Ngoc Trinh, or when she was busy, I asked for her role. Elite artist Ngoc Trinh, whose real name is Pham Thi Ngoc Trinh, was born in 1974, famous for her role as Vy in the TV series Cilantro and the role of Sang in the play Dancing Heart.

In 2019, Ngoc Trinh was awarded the title of Outstanding Artist. She is also an art lecturer at Van Lang University, both in the Drama and Television Actor class and a visiting lecturer at the University of Theater and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City and other actor training centers.

During her time studying at the School of Theater Arts II, Ngoc Trinh's class was headed by actor Cong Ninh, after the play Girl Sinh was performed, the two also officially publicized their feelings, with the consent of the two families, they had plans to get married but could not do it. Their love affair lasted 10 years, until 2005 they broke up.

In December 2009, Ngoc Trinh married Korean television director and producer Kim Se Hyuk. She went to Korea to live with her husband for a while, then returned to Vietnam, the two had no children and then divorced in 2017.

After a week of hospitalization for gastric hemorrhage at People's Hospital 115 - Ho Chi Minh City, Ngoc Trinh passed away on September 1, 2025 at the age of 52. Before that, she had a long time of treatment for stomach diseases, which was also the reason why Ngoc Trinh had to abandon the role of the movie Cilantro.

MC Le Nguyen Bao - a close colleague of Ngoc Trinh - shared that on August 19, the female artist felt tired, so she went to the doctor and then returned home to rest. On August 20, she was found fainting at home and was immediately taken to the emergency room. When admitted to the hospital, Ngoc Trinh had to intervene on mechanical ventilation and fell into a deep coma for about 10 days, her health was deteriorating. Despite the efforts of doctors to save her, the female artist still did not survive.

"Having just completed diploma 2, still waiting to defend her master's thesis, but she left, leaving her life journey unfinished, leaving students who are still only toddling in the first steps on the artistic path," artist Hanh Thuy wrote.

"Until now, I am still shocked by the news of Ngoc Trinh's death. She is a talented, charming actor, passionate about her job until the end of her life," said director Tran Ngoc Giau, Ngoc Trinh's teacher.
