Lu Thi Phuong Dung is no stranger to the Vietnamese beauty fan community. The reason Phuong Dung has become familiar is because, before coming to Miss Earth Vietnam, she participated in a series of beauty playgrounds such as: Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, Miss Peace Vietnam 2022, Miss Supranational Vietnam 2022, Miss Vam River 2022.

The same case happened in Miss Universe Vietnam 2022. At that time, in the preliminary round, Phuong Dung "scouted" each jury member through a series of questions: "I want to ask Ms. Vo Hoang Yen a question, what motivates you to participate in DJ music?", "I want to ask Ms. Vu Thu Phuong a question, can you summarize your leadership ability in just 8 words?".

The culmination was that Phuong Dung once burst into tears and asked the judges to give the reason why she stopped at the Miss Peace Vietnam 2022 qualifiers. Because she is confident that she has prepared extremely well to compete, she wants the judges to clearly state why she did not choose her. Currently, Phuong Dung has once again attracted attention when participating in Miss Earth Vietnam 2023. She joined the casting last weekend to earn her ticket to the Top 36 National Semifinals. Although it is a factor attracting attention, many opinions say that Phuong Dung has limitations in appearance, so it is difficult to advance far in the competition.

It is known that this year's criterion of Miss Earth Vietnam is not only a pure beauty contest but also closely associated with the values of the community, especially the living environment. The organizers worked 24 hours without a break to find the most deserving candidates.

Actor, producer Truong Ngoc Anh, journalist Tran Nguyen Thien Huong, Director Long Kan, Businessman Linh Le and catwalk director Hung Phuc are the names sitting in the "hot seat" to find the outstanding contestants to officially enter the reality TV show of Miss Earth Vietnam 2023.

At the offline casting, National President of the contest Truong Ngoc Anh shared: "We want to find a talented warrior to make a mark for the first time Miss Earth Vietnam takes place. At the same time, that warrior will also be the one to fight at the Miss Earth International at the end of this year, with the hope that we can glorify the beauty and wisdom of Vietnam again!"

The 36 semi-finalists will participate in 8 reality TV episodes under the guidance of 3 famous mentors (Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 - Nguyen Tran Khanh Van; Miss Earth Vietnam 2017 - Ha Thu; and International Supermodel 2022 - Bui Quynh Hoa) divided into 3 teams Water, Fire and Gas.

The teams will have to go through a lot of challenges as well as experience activities and understanding the environment, from which to eliminate 6 contestants, the remaining 30 contestants enter the Finale of Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 scheduled to take place in mid-October 2023.

The cast of contestants came from all over the country, including candidates who had just returned from the US and Canada... all wish to contribute their knowledge and awareness with the contest to spread environmental protection activities to everyone, just like the message that the organizers mentioned from the beginning is "ME loves TREE".
