Team Quang Linh encountered an unprecedented disaster, the dike broke, half a flock of geese 'worshipped the sky'
In the latest Vlogs, a member of Team Quang Linh shared about the '81st life' that the farm encountered. The consequences left after being destroyed by nature made fans shy, affecting the spirit of the whole team.
Recently, Linh Phillip shared that his farm has just suffered damage that has attracted the attention of many people. Accordingly, the potato leaves on the farm were punctured, torn and torn, the rice fields were broken, all the water flowed out, the corn leaves were broken, scratched, and some watermelons were damaged.
Especially the 18 baby geese that the brothers on the farm cherished and looked forward to for many months have now died in half. This is the result of the largest hail that has occurred since the beginning of the season.
In a regretful mood, Linh Philip told the brothers to let the geese run outside the field to feed quickly instead of being locked in a cage. But the other day, when the geese were feeding, they encountered a sudden hailstorm, the mother goose covered her wings to protect the cubs and ran into the cage but could not catch up. As a result, 9 baby geese died.
"Hail is as big as a thumb, everyone, when it falls from the sky, everyone knows, it's no different from using a shotgun," Linh Philip said, calling the hail a disastrous rain.
In Linh Philip's farm, there is still a flock of new geese that are about to hatch. This time, the farm owner told the brothers to be careful, release the geese a little when it is sunny, and if it rains, they must be put in the cage immediately.
After the rain, the brothers on the farm had to go to overcome the consequences and rebuild the field banks. According to Linh Philip, the land on the farm is sandy soil, so heavy rain is easy to erode, causing bank breakage. The rice field is "girly", there is no rice yet, so it is not much affected by hail. However, Linh Philip is also having a "headache" because the rice field is currently facing a very serious disease, although he has sprayed, it still does not help.
Specifically, diseased rice plants have yellow roots and leaves instead of white. "Rice plants do not have worms, butterflies, thrips,... But for some reason, it keeps getting yellow, everyone. In Vietnam, uprooting the rice plant and taking it to the plant protection pharmacy to buy medicine and spray it for 2 days is gone, but there is no one here," Linh confided.
Sharing Linh Philip made many people feel sorry for the efforts of the brothers on the farm. People also left comments on how to fix the condition of the diseased rice plant. According to people with experience in farming, it is likely that the rice fields in Linh Philip's farm are suffering from temperate disease or root choking disease and may also be poisoned by yellow leaf alum.
Everyone hopes that Linh Philip's rice field will soon be green again, the farm will be restored and the brothers will have a good golden harvest.
This Vietnamese rice field is the enthusiasm of Quang Linh's team, but now he suddenly encounters bad luck, which is difficult to avoid in his heart. Farming has never been easy. Doing agriculture without much experience, in a strange land is even more challenging. Those are the things that many Vietnamese pursuing a farming path in Angola are facing.
More than 1 month ago, Linh Phillip - the owner of Viet Phi Farm, asked the online community and people with knowledge and experience to donate to help him save the rice field.
In the first year of experimenting with growing Vietnamese wet rice in a low-lying area in Bailundo district, Angola, Linh Phillip used to look at the green rice field suddenly turning yellow and red without knowing the reason. After urgently zoning, plastic partitions the fields, isolating diseased rice and treating water, Viet Phi Farm's wet rice fields were saved.
The success of Viet Phi Farm in growing wet rice not only makes the team proud, but also a great morale boost for Vietnamese groups working in Angola. The Vice Chairman of Bailundo district also visited and learned about the experience of wet rice cultivation and the ability to learn and develop this model for local farmers. He was also surprised by the boldness of Linh Phillip's team, because no one had ever tried to grow wet rice in this province before.
