Hoang Nam Tien's funeral: Rare appearance, FPT University acted unexpectedly

This morning (4/8), the visitation and memorial ceremony of Mr. Hoang Nam Tien took place in a solemn atmosphere at the National Funeral Home. His sudden death has left infinite grief for family, friends, and colleagues.

Solemn funeral and presence of the Group-level Funeral Committee

According to information from the family and FPT Corporation, the visit ceremony was held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the same day. The memorial and funeral ceremony began at 10:30. After that, his coffin will be cremated at the Van Dien Universal Incarnation.

To express its deep gratitude, FPT Corporation solemnly organized a funeral with a corporate-level ceremony. The funeral committee consists of 23 people, led by Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation. The presence of the Senior Funeral Committee shows the great respect and regret that FPT has for one of the people who laid the foundation for the development of the corporation. This is the rare time that FPT has held a corporate-level funeral, showing his special position in the hearts of the founders and all employees.

On the same day, FPT also held a memorial ceremony for Mr. Hoang Nam Tien at many other locations, including FPT Hoa Lac Office (Hanoi), FPT Da Nang, FPT Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City and FPT Japan (Tokyo), so that all officials, employees and students can express their condolences. In his hometown of Nghe An, the visitation will take place from 10 am to 2 pm on August 6 in Trung Loc commune, and the funeral ceremony will be held at 3:30 pm on the same day at Nghi Thuan Commune Cemetery.

FPTU FEST 2025 canceled to commemorate

One of the moves to show the deepest respect is the decision to cancel the entire FPTU FEST 2025 event - the largest technology, creativity and art experience program of the year of FPT University, scheduled to take place on August 3.

Previously, the Organizing Committee announced that it would continue to organize the event and spend a minute of silence to pay tribute to Mr. Hoang Nam Tien, with the reason of "fully implementing the spirit of liberation, creativity and humanity that he has enthusiastically pursued". However, after careful consideration from the group's leaders, the School Board of Directors and opinions from the community, the final decision was to cancel to show the spirit of sharing, humanity and respect.
