Que Anh unexpectedly entered the top 3 of Miss Popular Vote, but still faces many challenges to have a chance to enter the final top 10.
Recently, the Miss Popular Vote ranking has updated new results. Surprisingly, the representative of Vietnam - Vo Le Que Anh has risen to 3rd place (with 15% of the votes).
Accordingly, before the semi-final night, Que Anh was completely absent from this list. Therefore, Que Anh's appearance in the top surprised many beauty fans at home and abroad. Currently, leading the rankings are two representatives from Indonesia and Myanmar, with the number of votes far surpassing Que Anh.
Despite being in the top 3 of Miss Popular Vote, Que Anh is still at risk of not being given special permission to enter the top 10. According to the rules of Miss Grand International, only the contestant at the top of the Miss Popular Vote list is allowed to go straight to the top 10. With only a few days left until the final night, the possibility of Que Anh being able to turn things around and take the top spot is very difficult.
If she fails to take the lead in Miss Popular Vote, Que Anh will have to rely on her own strength to get into the top 10. However, in the recent rounds, Que Anh has not made a strong impression. On beauty forums, many opinions say that Que Anh's performance was not impressive enough and paled compared to other contestants. Notably, in the semi-final night, Que Anh was completely "empty-handed" with the secondary awards such as Fan Vote, Best Performance and Grand Pageant's Choice.
Not only that, Que Anh also did not receive much support from the domestic beauty fan community. To the point that after the semi-final night, the president of Miss Grand International expressed regret that Que Anh did not receive support from the Vietnamese audience on livestream.
President Nawat said that the controversy surrounding the results of the domestic competition made it difficult for Que Anh to receive recognition from the home audience. He also called on Vietnamese fans to support Que Anh, because she is wearing the sash representing the country.
Specifically, President Nawat shared, "I understand that you do not want to support MGVN (Que Anh) because you are not satisfied with the title of Miss when she was crowned and have complained to the MGI organization. You always try to make her stop at MGI. I understand, but in the end she is here and represents your country. You need to bring Vietnam to the world. So, if you do not support, do not vote for her during this time, I think you have lost the opportunity to bring Vietnam to the world. Currently, she is very sad. I do not know how to solve this... Maybe you do not like her, but think about the two words Vietnam. That is more important in each contest. So, please support her as much as possible."
Up to now, Que Anh has achieved a number of achievements such as: top 10 Pre-Arrival, top 10 Best in Swimsuit, top 20 National Costume by vote and top 16 Country's Power of the Year. Even in the Grand Voice category, Que Anh stopped at top 14 after competing with strong representatives from Venezuela, Netherlands and Trinidad and Tobago.
With only a few days left before the final night, Que Anh is facing a big challenge. Although the possibility of winning a ticket to the top 10 with Miss Popular Vote is not high, she still has a chance if she gets the love of the Vietnamese fan community back. Hopefully, Que Anh can turn the situation around and achieve good results in the final night taking place on October 25. In previous years, Bui Phuong Nga - Kieu Loan entered the Top 10 thanks to winning the voting award.
