Quang Linh Vlogs meets a bitter end, claypot rice restaurant receives "1 star" storm, risks "disappearance"

After the scandal over Kera vegetable candy advertisement, Quang Linh Vlogs' reputation plummeted. As a result, businesses related to him all had problems. Among them, the claypot rice restaurant Cku Linh, which Quang Linh invested in, suffered the heaviest consequences.

In a post on its homepage on March 25, Cku Linh Claypot Rice Restaurant in District 1 (HCMC) said it was becoming the target of attacks - "a story we have absolutely nothing to do with, but still have to suffer so much damage".

Accordingly, recently, the restaurant has received many harsh words, party orders that were canceled at the last minute, baseless negative comments, and even attacks on the personal page of the person who built this place, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang.

"But the most heartbreaking thing is not the false rumors, but the more than 100 innocent employees of the restaurant are being hurt," the Com Nieu Cku Linh page affirmed.

According to Google, Cku Linh Claypot Rice Restaurant is receiving a series of 1-star reviews. Many comments mention the noise of Quang Linh Vlogs maliciously such as "Does the restaurant sell Kera candy?" or "A plate of stir-fried water spinach is equivalent to how many Kera candies?".

Similarly, on TikTok, the restaurant's food introduction videos also received many mocking comments mentioning Kera candy. The restaurant's fanpage and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang's personal Facebook account also received negative comments. To avoid the "storm" of bad reviews, the restaurant temporarily disabled the review feature.

On March 14, Hang Du Muc and Quang Linh Vlogs held a press conference to apologize for falsely advertising Kera vegetable candy during livestream sessions on social media. Quang Linh Vlogs also announced that they would temporarily stop selling via livestream for a long time to return to Africa.

On March 20, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) issued a decision to administratively fine Ms. Nguyen Thi Thai Hang (Hang Du Muc) and Mr. Pham Quang Linh (Quang Linh Vlogs), each 70 million VND, for violations in advertising activities.

In addition to the plan to return to Africa, Quang Linh Vlogs recently announced the transfer of all its shares in the Cku Linh claypot rice brand to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and legal representative of the company. Although it has withdrawn from this brand, the Cku Linh claypot rice restaurant has continuously become the target of attacks on social networks.

Mr. Nhan called on the online community to look at the incident objectively, emphasizing that the restaurant is no longer related to Quang Linh Vlogs and does not want to be the target of online attacks. Currently, Cku Linh is creating jobs for 100 employees and always strives to bring the best experience to diners. However, the pressure from negative comments and malicious reviews is seriously affecting the morale of employees as well as the restaurant's business operations.

Cku Linh claypot rice belongs to Tan Khanh Food Joint Stock Company in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang is the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and legal representative of the Company.

Started in business at the end of last year, the claypot rice restaurant attracted attention when Quang Linh Vlogs was the image representative. However, after a series of scandals over excessive advertising, Quang Linh announced that he would transfer his shares in the restaurant.

Quang Linh Vlogs, born in 1997, became famous with a series of Vlogs about African life, made during his time working abroad in Angola. He and his group of friends carried out many volunteer activities such as building clean water wells, opening schools, instructing local people in farming and raising livestock, contributing to improving their lives.

By 2024, Quang Linh regularly participated in livestream sales in Vietnam and actively did business. In addition to investing in Tan Khanh Cuisine, he was also present in a number of private companies. In November 2024, Quang Linh Vlogs, Hang Du Muc and a number of other individuals contributed capital to establish Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company.
