On the evening of March 7, many social network users could not access the social networking site with 2.2 million followers of Quang Linh Vlogs. This is the main information channel of the male vlogger, which he uses to update images and activity information.
This makes netizens wonder because the TikToker born in 1997 is in the center of a controversy related to the Kera vegetable candy product. Many people think that he has locked his account.
Quang Linh's livestream session about vegetable candy.
At more than 0:00 on March 8, Quang Linh Vlogs reopened the page and announced: "2 hours ago, my account was harmed by bad guys. Currently, I have regained access, you can rest assured that I am still here." The post quickly attracted attention.
Previously, on February 24, Quang Linh Vlogs explained and apologized for the statement "1 capsule equals 1 plate of vegetables" when advertising Kera vegetable candy products. This product is produced by Sister Rot Group Joint Stock Company of Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang Du Muc.
The Vlogger from Nghe An admitted that the transmission of information was inaccurate, causing misunderstanding to customers. After realizing the mistake, he corrected and did not repeat this statement in the next livestream sessions.
The noise surrounding this product continued when S.T. - TikToker with more than 600,000 followers - took the product to be tested for fiber at QUATEST 2 (Technical Center for Standards - Metrology - Quality under the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality - Ministry of Science and Technology).
The results showed that in 100 g of the product there was 0.51 g of total fiber. In which, 1 candy contains 0.016 g of fiber. A box of candies has 30 tablets (96 g), so even if you eat the whole box, the amount of fiber you get is only 0.5 g, which is equivalent to 1/6 of a banana.
This information makes many consumers bewildered. On the evening of March 6, the vegetable candy brand voiced information about the fiber content in its products. According to the test table posted on February 24, conducted at the Avatek Scientific Application Testing and Consulting Center, the content of Inulin fiber (a type of soluble fiber) in Kera's vegetable candies is 186 mg/tablet. In addition, in 100 grams of Kera vegetable candy, there is 0.935% fiber from fruits and vegetables, according to information from ASIA LIFE - a vegetable candy factory - provided.
"Thus, the total fiber content from vegetable powder and Inulin fiber (a type of soluble fiber) in 1 Kera vegetable candy is more than 200 mg of fiber," the brand concluded.
By March 6, this brand continued to have to speak out about the suspicion of packaging plagiarism and product origin. Accordingly, in response to the suspicion that the candy is manufactured and processed in China, this brand affirms that 100% of the products are produced at the ASIA LIFE factory in Dak Lak - a unit that cooperates directly with the brand.
In addition, Kera Vietnam said that all images and product packaging designs are carried out by its creative team, ensuring exclusivity and brand recognition. The brand affirmed that the product image appearing on a sales platform in China was due to unauthorized use.
This is not the first time Quang Linh has been hacked by bad guys on social networking sites. In April 2024, Quang Linh Vlog and a series of other famous Youtube channels in Vietnam were suddenly "blown away". After hijacking these Youtube channels, the hackers immediately renamed the channels to Ripple, a payment system that uses blockchain technology, and changed their cover photos and profile pictures to Ripple's images. Hackers even broadcast live videos on these channels to promote a cryptocurrency.
After more than a day, Quang Linh then regained his channel, but there were still certain losses. Quang Linh Vlogs said that hackers broke into the management email accounts of Youtube channels and took control of these channels.
