Films by Tran Hieu, Vuong Nhat Bac were stoned for planting illegal cow tongue lines

In the past few days, many social media users in Vietnam have posted information that has "accused" the Chinese film "Bang Vu Fire" with illegal "cow's tongue line". This is not the first time China has used illegal "cow's tongue line" tricks into movies.

Accordingly, when this movie aired on Youko channel - China's online platform, the image of the "cow's tongue line" appeared at minutes 19 and 20 in the first episode, then continued to appear a few times in episode 2.

"Ice Dance Fire" brings together a cult cast, including stars Tran Hieu and Vuong Nhat Bac. The film is licensed to broadcast and is showing on the fee-based platform V (abbreviation) in Vietnam.

This V unit has processed to blur the entire background with the "cow's tongue line" printed map in the movie before it was broadcast on its platform. However, when shown on many other websites, including YouTube channels... the illegal "cow's tongue line" is still openly visible.

The wave of criticism of "Bang Vu Fire" increased, many people demanded a ban on the distribution of this film in Vietnam.

This is not the first time Chinese films with illegal "cow's tongue line" have been discovered.

Previously, in mid-September 2021, Vietnamese audiences were upset when Chinese films integrated the "cow's tongue line" map in the film Nhat Sinh Nhat Nhat (One Life, One Life). Specifically, in episode 13, the character Thoi Nghi (played by Bach Loc) took a plane to Germany, she took a picture of the map, but many viewers noticed the "cow's tongue line" even though it was only on the screen for a few seconds. The incident was immediately condemned by Chinese movie fan pages and netizens. On the side of the iQiyi platform, this publisher has quietly cut out the controversial part, without notifying the audience.

In August 2021, some viewers discovered that in episode 9 of the movie You are my pride, there is an image of the "cow's tongue line" in the version shown in China. However, at the WeTV Vietnam application, this map is blurred. Vietnamese audiences were upset by WeTV's move, many called for a stop to watching movies to show their attitude about sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In addition, in 2020, the image of the "cow's tongue line" also crept into Chinese films such as: In the name of a family member, Sending our warm youth. In August 2020, the audience voiced their opposition to the drama "In the name of family" because of the installation of the image of "cow's tongue line" in episode 18. In this episode, there is a scene where a character enters an elevator, billboards in the elevator. The elevator printed with a map of China has an absurd "cow's tongue line". The film was broadcast on Hunan Provincial Television (China) from August 10, 2020, In addition, Vietnamese audiences also reacted harshly to the film because of the discovery of the trio of main actors Tong Uy Long, Truong Tan Thanh. and Dam Tung Yun once supported the "cow's tongue line". In 2018, all three actors shared an image of a map of China with the "cow's tongue line" along with the words: "China, an inch of land is indispensable".

The movie Send Your Head On My Shoulder (Put Your Head On My Shoulder) also shows map images with illegal "cow's tongue line" in the East Sea. In episode 9, when being asked for a birthday present, a character in the movie ignored it by pointing at the TV screen playing the weather forecast, on which there was a map of the cow's tongue line. This scene appeared for less than a second. Netflix then had to cut out the scene with this "cow's tongue line" map.

In April 2020, the historical film Thinh Duong Illusion produced in 2018 continued to be accused by Vietnamese audiences of "stealing" Hue royal court music into a scene in the film. Specifically, on April 29, the Chinese-language film fan page shared a clip about a scene in the movie Thinh Duong Illusion with the use of Hue royal court music, along with a status line expressing their displeasure: "They took the royal court music. Hue royal family made traditional music in historical dramas under the Tang Dynasty, while Hue royal court music was recognized by UNESCO as an "oral masterpiece" and an intangible human culture in 2003.

Earlier in October 2019, the cartoon Everest - Abominable was withdrawn from Vietnamese cinemas after being harshly condemned by netizens for a map with a "cow's tongue line" in a movie scene. . The film is co-produced by DreamWorks (USA) and China's Pearl Company. The publisher CGV was fined 170 million VND and had to destroy the film copy (imported digital movie files, movie promotional materials). The film was also strongly opposed by Southeast Asian countries, such as the Philippines calling for a global boycott of DreamWorks, Malaysia banning the film's release.
