Movie The Rich Bride: 1 star rating says it was a waste of mone.y, Kieu Minh Tuan salvages

The movie The Bride of a Rich Family is currently the center of attention for Vietnamese movie fans in theaters. Despite being heavily promoted and having a great cast, the movie still received a 1-star storm because people thought it was too bad and a waste of mone.y.

This is a rare Vietnamese film that delves into satire, talking about the "promiscuous" behavior of a segment of people in society. However, there is a huge gap between the film's original wishes and the value it creates for theatergoers. Over the past 3 weekends, the film "The Rich Bride" led the Vietnamese box office with a revenue of 27 billion VND (according to Box Office Vietnam). However, just a few days after its release, this work is receiving a lot of negative feedback from the audience.

First of all, it should be noted that "The Rich Bride" still has some bright spots. The film brings some interesting humorous details, and the cast also has people who perform well such as Kieu Minh Tuan, Le Giang or Uyen An. In addition, Quynh Luong and People's Artist Hong Van, although not appearing much, still bring interesting scenes.

However, the film's script is extremely disappointing. It is not difficult to find criticisms of the film because of its disjointed, illogical, flawed and lack of depth. Not only that, the film's content is also reminiscent of the Korean blockbuster "Parasite".

Some audience comments: - I really love movies, love to watch them and have always felt positive about them. But this movie is too disjointed, the emotions don't come, the details are disjointed and don't fit together. From the time they met to love and get married, there was no process at all but they loved each other sincerely. The ending is very reasonable, but coming together to live happily is even more strange.

- The movie is just for fun, but it's full of flaws, the love story is bland and lacks depth, there are few scenes that build feelings. The whole movie is just a backdrop to trick the other guy's family, but the breakup at the en.d makes it seem like they're really in love. Honestly, what kind of movies does Mr. Dang make? Just beautiful scenes.

- Don't rate this movie highly. It's unrealistic, the background is fictional, the plot is confusing, and the ending is ridiculous. Instead of being fictional from the beginning, let the en.d be fictional. There's a funny and attractive trailer, so I went to watch it. The actors acted well. Except for the male lead, if Song Luan was replaced, it would have been great.

- Unfortunately, I watched "Parasite". This type of drama is still immature in Vietnamese movies, and still mixed in comedy. The comedy is not comedy, the drama is not drama, the love is not right, and the society is also awkward.

Talking more about "The Bride of a Noble Family", the film revolves around the story of the female lead Tu Lac (Uyển Ân), a gir.l born into a poor family. Wanting to change her life, she targets Bảo Hoàng (Samuel An), a kind-hearted young master of a wealthy family. Tu Lac and her family set up all kinds of tricks to make her become Bảo Hoàng's wife. However, unexpected events disrupt their plans.

The luckiest thing is that the audience still recognizes a few "laughing but painfu.l" scenes with Kieu Minh Tuan's character Mr. Hoa. The rest of the noise of Mrs. Mat, the superficiality of Tu Lac, the snobbishness of Mrs. Phuong and the naivety of Bao Hoang all make the film leave very little impression on the audience when leaving the theater.

Satire is still a very difficult subject to portray, if not to say it requires skilled scriptwriters along with a director who understands life. The Rich Bride lacks a lot of the sophistication and logic that this genre requires. This leads to the film presenting everything but when cleaning up, it does not have the optimal ability to make it neat and tidy. The Rich Bride wears a dress that is so big that the audience finds it hard to believe!
