Appearing as a professional judge in the Dance Battle round of episode 8 of the show " Em Xinh Say Hi ", Phan Hien gracefully "showed off" his wedding ring, proving his title as "boss of flattering his wife".
Phan Hien's "showing off" of his wedding ring caused a stir at Em Xinh "Say Hi"
On stage, Phan Hien attracted attention when he shared that he had temporarily stopped training in Europe to return to Vietnam to participate in the program. Before this sharing, Tran Thanh quickly asked a humorous question about what made a busy person like him determined to participate. The dancesport champion explained that the reason came from his curiosity about the dancing skills of the "Pretty Girls".
However, Phan Hien was "asked" by the show's MC: "Because you've seen a pretty girl at home dance too many times, right? So today you want to see many other pretty girls dance to see what they're like?". Tran Thanh's question full of hidden meanings made him "sweat profusely", and he had to quickly explain and show "solid" evidence of his loyalty: "When my wife knew I voted for pretty girl "Say Hi", she made me wear a wedding ring".
Phan Hien's "flaunting" of his wedding ring to "flatter his wife" afterwards made everyone in the studio burst out laughing. Tran Thanh even humorously teased Phan Hien and his wife, saying "it turns out that's how dancesport champions love each other."
Complete happiness after many storms and a brilliant career
Khanh Thi - Phan Hien is one of the couples loved and admired by the public because their love story has gone through many ups and downs. Initially, the "teacher - student" relationship and the age barrier made them face a lot of prejudice and pressure from public opinion. However, with sincere love and perseverance, the two overcame everything to build a happy family.
Currently, not only are they happily married with two lovely little angels, Kubi and Anna, both Khanh Thi and Phan Hien have successful careers. Khanh Thi holds many important roles: from international dancesport referee, coach of top dancesport athletes, to Director of the Institute of Culture and Arts of the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City. She is known as the "Queen of Vietnamese Dancesport" with her tireless contributions to this sport.
Meanwhile, Phan Hien is also the athlete who holds the most records for achievements in Vietnamese dancesport, including a hat-trick of 3 gold medals at the 31st SEA Games (2022). He and his dance partner Thu Huong are the first Vietnamese dancesport athlete pair to rank 41st in the world thanks to their achievement in the top 10 of the 2024 World Open Latin competition. This is a huge step forward compared to the previous achievement of the pair Khanh Thi - Chi Anh, who were only in the top 100 in the world.
Kubi follows in his parents' footsteps, winning international medals
The joy of Khanh Thi - Phan Hien's family was multiplied when their first son, Nguyen Minh Cuong (Kubi), also showed his talent and passion for dancesport early on, following in his parents' footsteps to reap the first successes in the international arena.
Recently, at the WDSF Asian Dancesport Festival 2025 held in China, the young athlete couple Nguyen Minh Cuong and his dance partner Linh San won the bronze medal in the Children II Standard category. This is one of the outstanding achievements of the Vietnamese dancesport delegation at this year's international arena, showing the great potential of the young generation of athletes.
Also at this tournament, Phan Hien continued to affirm his class when competing in the GrandSlam Latin event with his dance partner Thu Huong. The couple excellently ranked 25/103, up 26 places compared to the 51st position achieved in the same tournament in 2024. This is a remarkable step forward, especially in the context that GrandSlam Latin is one of the most competitive events in the WDSF system.
The interesting highlight of the tournament was not only the professional achievements but also the humorous and warm family moments. On her personal page, Khanh Thi shared a dialogue between father and daughter that made fans laugh.
When he learned that he had won the bronze medal, Kubi asked his father: "What did you get?". Phan Hien replied that he had entered the top 25 of the Latin GrandSlam. The boy immediately responded with innocence and pride: "Then you have to buy me a gift, because I am better than you." The boy's innocent but confident words not only delighted netizens but also showed the positive and innocent competitive spirit of the young athlete generation.
