Social networks are "making waves" with a clip of an inn turning into a "mountain of garbage" because it was not cleaned. The clip shocked people, unable to believe that someone could live in such a space.
"unimaginable" scene: The motel room turned into a huge garbage dump
Through research, the motel room in the clip went viral in Nam Dinh. The owner, Ms. V., was shocked when she opened this 10m2 room, sharing that in 20 years of renting the room, she had never witnessed such a terrible scene.
According to Ms. V., the person living in the above hostel is a girl named Q. (born in 2003) from Quang Ninh. Q. has rented her room since 2021 for 400,000 VND/month. Ms. V. said that Q. is a student of a university in the area, lives quite closed, often closes the door of the room and when she goes out, she dresses neatly and cleanly. This made her even more surprised and confused about the situation inside the room.
"Previously, Q. often cooked by himself, but from around the beginning of 2024, he no longer has switched to ordering food outside," Ms. V. said. This is probably one of the first signs of a change in the girl's living habits, leading to a significant increase in household waste.
Q. informed the landlord to return to his hometown from August 2024 for summer vacation, planning to return in September. However, since then, Ms. V. has not seen Q. return. Q. paid the rent until near the end of 2024, but then became anonymous and did not pay any additional room fee.
Ms. V. sent a message reminding Q. that if she was no longer there, she would come to clean and check out for her to repair. The girl promised many times but did not come and did not pay the rent. "Because Q. did not report to check out, I was afraid that there were still furniture and papers inside, so I did not dare to open the door to check. Up to now, after more than half a year of Q. not paying for the room, I decided to open the door to clean and see an unimaginable scene," Ms. V. said with a shudder.
When the door of the room was opened, the garbage in the room spilled out into the hallway. A strong, choking musty stench rose up, causing Mrs. V. to immediately take a mask to cover her nose.
Worth mentioning, not only domestic waste, the hygiene in the room is much worse. The refrigerator was still plugged in, opened with food inside, and smelled rotten. The bed and mattress were seriously dirty, and when they were turned over, they were full of strange creatures crawling when they moved.
To clean up this "mountain of garbage", Ms. V.'s children and two neighbors had to come to help. Her family had to use up to 10 large sacks to store all the garbage in the room and had to hire 3 cyclo trips to carry garbage to the right place to dispose of it. The cost of cleaning and treating the room is estimated to be not small, not to mention the need to disinfect and repair the entire room.
Warning bells about young people's lifestyle and mental health
The incident of the schoolgirl's dormitory room being flooded with garbage is not only a story about personal hygiene but also raises more worrying problems about the lifestyle and even mental health of a part of young people. In modern society, the pressure of studying, working, and social relationships along with the development of technology and the habit of ordering food online can lead to negative changes in daily life.

Some psychologists believe that living in a dirty, messy environment like this can be a sign of psychological problems such as depression, anxiety disorders, or hoarding behavior problems. People with these diseases often tend to live a closed life, lose motivation to take care of themselves and their living environment, leading to a loss of hygiene control.
The fact that the girl Q. went from being a frequent cook to ordering out food, then disappearing from the motel room, can also be signs of mental decline or some problem in life.

The incident is also a wake-up call for hostel owners to have clearer regulations on hygiene, as well as to pay attention to and monitor the condition of tenants, especially young people living alone. Although it is not advisable to interfere with private life, in cases of abnormal signs, it may be necessary to contact relatives or authorities to avoid unfortunate consequences.
