Thanks to his father's support, Vu Rooster was exposed to art early. At the age of 13, she was one of the members of the nightingale team under the Voice of Vietnam. Later, when she was a student at Hanoi Viet Duc High School, she was called into the Central Music and Dance Troupe.

Although she was a singer of beauty and talent, because of her shy nature, it was not until 1972 that she began to dare to sing solos; Before that she only dared to sing the top song. The first song that she sang was the song "Climbing the mountain of heavenly thai" accompaniment by Dinh Thin with a bamboo flute.

In the 1980s, together with other artists such as Manh Ha, Thuy Ha... Become more famous thanks to country songs with a new style. It was also during this time that the artist, along with some of her co-stars, was sent to Czechoslovakia to participate in International Young Talent as a jury.

She opened a gold shop on De La Thanh Road, spending a lot of time taking care of her two young children. At the age of 16, both Ngoc Chau and Khanh Linh suddenly told their parents about their career aspirations. Ngoc Chau wants to switch from Ly Sang only to study Composition, Khanh Linh does not want to study piano and wants to come to the public with his clear, soaring voice... Facing that aspiration, two artists Ngoc Huong and Vu Rooster have created conditions and followed every step of their children on the arduous artistic path.

Singer Khanh Linh once confided that she learned a lot from her parents and family members. His family had a significant influence on Khanh Linh's music. "My mother is the one who gives Mr. Chau and me many things, especially the perspective of the profession. Both parents are absolute lovers of the profession, have fastidiousness with the profession and never want anything but the beauty of music and current life. That has affected Mr. Chau and me a lot. I think it's natural and available in my heart and my career path.

The family is the cradle, very large, not small within the family anymore. From that space, I grew to where I am today. Everything has a foundation and my family gives me a very solid foundation. With my mother, I learned to try, to constantly rise," the singer shared.
