Meritorious Artist Tran Luc: a chil.d of an artistic family, a romantic with 3 wives?

Artist Tran Luc (born 1963), in Hanoi. He is an actor, filmmaker, general director... He is loved by the audience for his charming and romantic appearance. He was famous at the same time as the beauties People's Artist Thu Ha, Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan, People's Artist Le Khanh.

Few people know that artist Tran Luc was born and raised in a family with a famous artistic tradition in Hanoi. His father is People's Artist Tran Bang, his mother is Meritorious Artist of Cheo Tran Thi Xuan, and his grandfather is writer Tran Tieu (younger brother of writer Khai Hung).

Tran Luc was sent by his family to the General Department of Logistics Drama Troupe to "apprentice". After nearly 3 years as an actor, mainly playing supporting roles at the General Department of Logistics Drama Troupe, he passed the entrance exam to the Stage Directing major at the Vietnam Academy of Theatre and Cinema, now the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema, and then went to study abroad in Bulgaria in 1991.

Returning to the country, he thought he would become a stage director but in the end he went into cinema as an actor. With a handsome face, gentle appearance and acting talent, Tran Luc immediately impressed the audience through the role of Luc - a raft trader with a grumpy personality but very loving to his wife in the movie Love Story by the River.

That was also the springboard for him to be invited by many directors, both in the South and the North, to participate in the following movies: "The Life of a Street Singer" (as Hung), "The Indochina Affair" (as Minh), "Love Trap" (as Thanh), "Love Illusion" (as Tuan).

It can be said that at that time, Tran Luc was a popular male lead on the Northern screen when he knew how to combine his appearance and deep inner acting. Especially, in the period when the country opened up, cinema entered the market mechanism, screenwriters followed the trend of reflecting the reality of life, Tran Luc almost stuck with the image of a loyal man, living forever in the past and becoming out of place in an era dominated by mone.y.

That is Hai Hung in "The Man Who Finds the Past" - a former notorious special forces captain, who was the spiritual support and strong motivation of his comrades on the Southeast front during the years of fightin.g against the US, and an idol of women because of his masculinity and bravery typical of soldiers, but in the present time, Hai Hung is now just an old, backward and... poor person. That is Tu in "The Lover Who Gets Married" - a demobilized soldier who still keeps his promise to his lover before going to war, even though when he returns she has married someone else.

Along with the trend and taste of cinema of the audience in the open period, the characters played by Tran Luc won the special affection of the public. His name quickly became famous even though in reality, as many people thought, he was just an amateur actor.

In the 2000s, Tran Luc tried his hand at directing with two comedic films: "Hai Binh makes hydroelectric power" and "Who comes to visit during Tet this year?". The two films he directed won the Encouragement Priz.e from the Vietnam Cinema Association in 2001 and 2002. In addition, he founded Dong A Film Studio, took on the role of producer, director, and sometimes acted in television dramas.

Besides his roles as an actor, director, film studio owner, founder and operator of the independent theater Lucteam..., at the ag.e of 60, Tran Luc is also famous on social networks. Recently, he made his mark with his role as a painter in the movies Dao, Pho and Piano.

Since the 90s, Tran Luc has been known as the "lover" of many famous beauties on stage and in cinema. In real life, he is still famous for being a playboy, with a rather difficult and troubled married life.

Tran Luc got married when he was only 20 years old, and up to now he has had 3 wives. While studying stage directing in Bulgaria, he got married for the first time, his wife was a famous pianist.
