Meritorious Artist To Nga is famous for her red music, a single mother with many suitors.

To Nga is a folk singer, famous for songs about Nghe An. Musician An Thuyen entrusted her with many famous songs, including the song "Ha Tinh I Love".

She was also mentored by People's Artist Thu Hien from the first days in Hanoi. Meritorious Artist To Nga was born in 1976 in Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh. While studying at Ha Tinh College of Culture and Arts, she won many awards such as: Gold Medal of the National Professional Student Performance Festival, Gold Medal of the Central Singing Festival in Nha Trang, Gold Medal of the Sen Village Singing Festival in Nghe An.

She is currently working at the Vietnam National Music, Dance and Dance Theater. To Nga was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2016.

In 1997, she was introduced by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ha Tinh College of Culture and Arts to the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now the Vietnam National Academy of Music) to practice vocal music and take the entrance exam to the Military College of Culture and Arts. After winning third prize in the Hanoi Voice Contest in 1999, To Nga was specially admitted to the Vietnam National Music and Dance Theater.

In addition to her role as a singer, Meritorious Artist To Nga is also trusted by many young singers. She has many outstanding students in the same music genre such as: Le Minh Ngoc, Tran Van Anh, Le Ngoc Thuy.

Despite her success in her career, Meritorious Artist To Nga's personal life has been full of ups and downs. She and her ex-husband have been separated for eight years. The singer shared: "As a human being, everyone wants to have a fulfilling life. I was unlucky when my first marriage was not as happy as I wanted. I spent a long time in pain when my marriage broke up. But indeed, when I went through the hardships of life, through the storms of human life... I found myself singing more deeply, more deeply and more calmly. Many times I also reassured myself that maybe God had mercy on me by taking something away from me and giving me something else."

Since they "went their separate ways", she has not seen her ex-husband again, but they talk to each other more than before. He often calls to ask about their son and also helps her take him to school and take care of him when she has to go on a long trip. The female artist confided that she and her ex-husband now consider each other as friends and she thanks him for still being a good father, responsible for his son.

Currently, the Meritorious Artist's son is 18 years old, and she is happy to witness his growth. The Nghe An artist is also satisfied with the simple things in life and has more time for music.

About to turn 50, the female singer still dressed youthfully and appeared relaxed at the press conference. To Nga revealed that after going public with her divorce in 2017, she had many suitors.

"There are people who have expressed their admiration for me for a long time, and now they dare to confess their love. After eight years of keeping their hearts closed, I feel my life is gradually changing, my spirit is better. However, I am still afraid of marriage and have no intention of remarrying," she said. To Nga shared that she hopes to have someone who loves her, understands her situation, and has a soulmate to confide in. In the remaining time, To Nga wants to spend with her son and devote herself to music projects.

The album Hai dau noi nho includes many familiar compositions such as O hai dau noi nho, Tiếng chim da da, Hai que, Cho du co di noi xa, Huong tham, Thuong ve mien Trung, Chuyen tinh hoa muong bien... To Nga shared that she did not feel pressured when singing songs that have been performed by many famous artists. When recording, To Nga did not listen to their old recordings but tried to find her own way to process them, bringing her own color.
