Thao Nguyen said her father passed away 7 years ago, when she was still a middle school student. His wish was to see his little daughter grow up. With this victory, the beauty wants to dedicate it to her father - the person who always inspired her to strive in life.

'My father always wanted to see me grow up and achieve success in life, but that wish did not come true before he passed away. I want to dedicate this glory to my father in heaven. I believe that he has always been watching over me, encouraging me, and inspiring me to be who I am today,' Thao Nguyen said.

To reach the beauty queen crown, Thao Nguyen and the other contestants went through many rounds: evening gown, ao dai, swimsuit and behavior. On the final night, Thao Nguyen wore a halter-neck evening gown with a slit from the 'Moonlight' collection by designer Tommy Nguyen, showing off her beauty on the final night of Miss Vietnam Times 2024.

Miss Vietnam Era was first held in 2022, for contestants aged 18 to 27, from all over the country. The semi-finals took place in April, in Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province. 29 excellent contestants continued to compete in the final round taking place on the evening of December 14 in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city, Ninh Thuan province. According to the organizing committee, the contest aims to connect and spread the cultural and tourism values of the country. In the first season in 2022, the highest title of Miss belonged to Nghe An beauty Nguyen Mai Anh.
