Ngoc Quynh: Beauty crowned Miss Tourism Vietnam 2024, super good at foreign languages

Pham Thi Ngoc Quynh, born in 1998 in Hai Tan ward, Hai Duong city, is one of the prominent faces of the Vietnamese beauty industry. She was crowned Miss Tourism Vietnam 2024.

Ngoc Quynh is a former English major student at Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted in Hai Duong. She has achieved many outstanding academic achievements, including winning third prize twice in the city-level and provincial-level English competitions. After graduating, she continued her studies at the English Language Department of Hanoi Foreign Trade University, where she completed her bachelor's degree.

Ngoc Quynh comes from a family with a tradition of learning. Her parents always care for and encourage her and her brother to strive to pursue a serious education. She shared that her family is the greatest source of motivation to help her overcome all difficulties and challenges in life.

In addition to studying and participating in beauty contests, Ngoc Quynh is also a content creator on social media platforms. She often shares about her daily life, charity activities and personal experiences, attracting attention and love from the online community.

Ngoc Quynh surpassed more than 300 contestants from across the country to be crowned Miss Tourism Vietnam 2024. The contest took place in Cam Pha city, Quang Ninh province, with the participation of 38 outstanding faces selected from the qualifying rounds. In the final night, the contestants went through the evening gown, traditional ao dai and swimsuit performances to select the top 5 contestants for the behavioral round.

Ngoc Quynh performed excellently in the behavioral round when answering in both English and Vietnamese, which helped her stand out and win the highest position. She shared that if she had to choose a place to promote to international friends, she would choose Quang Ninh province, but at the same time, she also wanted to spread the beauty of her hometown Hai Duong where she was born and raised.

Specifically, when asked the question "Why didn't you choose Quang Ninh but another city to promote tourism to international friends?", Ngoc Quynh said: "If I had to choose a place to promote to international friends, I would immediately choose Quang Ninh province. However, I want to reserve a special love for my hometown Hai Duong where I was born because I am extremely proud to be born and raised here, and want to spread the beauty of my hometown to the whole world."

Not hiding her happiness after her daughter won the highest position in the contest, Ms. Doan Thi Diep - Ngoc Quynh's mother shared: "We are very happy and proud of our daughter. Through Hai Duong Newspaper, we would like to send our thanks to the Organizing Committee of the contest and thank the local leaders, our friends and Quynh's friends for their great care, support and sharing joy with the family over the past two days."

Ms. Diep also said that both of her parents are in business so they are quite busy, but she never has to worry about her little daughter. "Quynh is a very good girl, independent since childhood. Right from the first grade of Hai Tan Primary School, to later studying at prestigious schools such as Le Quy Don Secondary School and Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted, Quynh has had quite good academic achievements. Quynh has tried very hard to improve herself, always making efforts in her studies. She is an affectionate girl, not only with her family but also with her teachers and friends," Ms. Diep said.

After being crowned, Ngoc Quynh participated in many art activities and fashion events. She was the vedette for designer Chau Loan's show, along with two child models Minh Cuong and Minh Chau in the collection "Huong Com". Her appearance in these events not only affirmed her position in the fashion industry but also helped her continue to promote the image and culture of Vietnam.
