The beauty born in 1994 once faced mixed opinions when she was dropped out of Ton Duc Thang University. Miss Universe Vietnam 2012 admitted that because she was caught up in the beauty contest, she was negligent and did not pay attention to the information sent by the school. After being crowned, the beauty learned that she was forced to drop out of school due to overdue reservation.

Ngoc Chau confided that she had applied to the school board to consider supporting and create conditions for her to go to school and complete her graduation project. However, the school denied Ngoc Chau's wishes and said that it was a regulation of the Ministry of Education and Training and they could not do otherwise.

Now I can't get my degree anymore." Before being crowned Miss Vietnam 2022, Miss Ngoc Chau was a student majoring in Biotechnology at Ton Duc Thang University.

On June 25, 2022, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau, born in 1994, from Tay Ninh, was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, becoming Vietnam's representative at the Miss Universe 2022 contest held in the US.
