Artist Bao Anh dies of illness at the age of 68: Success in both the fields of reform and film

Reform artist Bao Anh dies at the age of 68. He died in hospital after treatment for an aortic aneurysm. His passing left many colleagues and viewers in mourning.

Artist Bao Anh was born in 1955, originally from Kien Giang, the son of a large family of brothers. He had a passion for singing from an early age, then pursued his passion, gradually becoming the nucleus of the amateur movement.

Graduating from the theater school in 1977, it was not easy for young graduates to find opportunities because in those years, names such as Thanh Duo, Minh Vuong, Thanh Sang were very splendid and resounding.

Tran Huu Trang Theater - is the launching pad for the first class of young Cai Luong artists to be trained after liberation such as Thanh Thanh Tam, Ngoc Huyen, Vu Linh, Bao Anh, Phuong Hong Thuy ... levitation. Right at the time when the stage of Cai Luong is glorious with big names such as Snow White, Ngoc Rich, Phuong Lien, Minh Vuong, Le Thuy, Thanh Sang...

Bao Anh stepped on the big stage to play a beautiful double role on the same stage with famous artists: Bat Trang Ancient Tale with the name Phuong Lien, Confiding in Ngoc Han with My Chau, Spring Swallow with Kieu Phuong Loan (Snow White worked as a director after studying abroad in the UK). As he said: artists Phuong Lien and Ngoc Rich have "broken hands, broken legs" to shape him how to sing and act. The reform stage gave Bao Anh a place in the hearts of the audience so that thirty years after returning to the West to film he was still recognized and welcomed by the audience.

On the theater stage, artist Diamond is a great teacher, his fellow student has given Bao Anh many opportunities to play the main double roles in the plays Tea Flower Girl, The Rose of the Brooch, The Legend of the Mother, Durian Leaves. Artist Seven Nam taught Bao Anh like a child, while NS Diamond was a strict teacher, manager and big co-star.

NS Diamond has "placed" Bao Anh in many types of roles from emperors, princes, people of integrity, intellectuals, even a fool... for him to develop the character's personality.

Remembering when he rehearsed The Black Deer of the Jungle, seeing Bao Anh acting still nervous, Diamond said, "You just let go of everything, consider me a queen that you love." Bao Anh learned how to play character types from NS Diamond. It was on this stage that he received a gold medal for his role as engineer Nghia in The Legend of the Mother.

In 1996, Bao Anh collaborated with director Hua Xia as a three-generation SK. Once again he won a gold medal for his role as Captain Hoang Bach in Passing the Night.

Years of traditional theater were sluggish, major performances were absent, audiences fell short. The artist went back and forth to sing the odd song, Bao Anh also went to sing Break with Snow White, New Year's Eve with Minh Vuong, Le Shui.

In the days of dramas, it was difficult for theater people to switch to cinema, because: "People were afraid that this guy was acting in theatrical films." The dramatic quality of theatre is inherently jealous of the natural nature of cinema. However, Bao Anh had charm and many opportunities, he was able to make films and TV plays with many famous directors at that time such as Phan Vu, Doan Ba, Huynh Minh Nhi, Cong Thanh.

In the beginning, making dramas was just as feats and cares as plastic films. A famous Bao Anh from the stage of Cai Luong as a bridge to help him enter the film industry confidently and professionally. "The youth of my 20s and 30s passed away as a precious apprenticeship, I acted by learning. Being 40 onwards is maturity, I act by experience. Sublimate with creativity," he said.

Talking about actor Bao Anh today, director Ly Khac Linh commented: "I like Bao Anh. He always starts with creativity." Bao Anh is very confident: "I want to refresh me." It can be said that Bao Anh is the only actor who continues to be successful in dramas. Ask him what is the secret to keeping the youth of the profession alive? He said only one sentence, "Ancestor." Talking about his life, he said: "It's a different story, someone asked me to share my life to write a script."

Death from illness

Sharing with reporter Dan Tri, director Thanh Hiep said artist Bao Anh died at 17:00 on October 5, at a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. Bao Anh's family is preparing for the artist's death.

People's Representative Minh Vuong also sadly shared with reporter Dan Tri, he has just received this information. He said artist Bao Anh died after a hospital stay, treated for an aortic aneurysm.

"The family tried to ask the best specialists to cure them but could not have a miracle," People's Representative Minh Vuong shared.

On social media, artist Hong To also expressed his sorrow over the loss of artist Bao Anh. Hong To expressed: "You passed away peacefully." Actor Van Ruy also wrote: "Farewell to you - Artist Bao Anh."

Artist Mong Tuyen said that in 2011, she returned to Vietnam to do a live show inviting Bao Anh, Hong To to perform in the play Forest Rain. She said she loved her colleagues for her sweet voice and peaceful temper. A month ago, Mong Tuyen learned that artist Bao Anh was hospitalized but could not visit because he was in a coma. "I knew the sad news while I was recording and couldn't hold back my tears," she said.
