Netflix announces the shockin.g news of Jisoo's (BLACKPINK) film, officially sets this

Netflix has officially announced the production of a new K-Drama called Boyfriend On Demand, starring Blackpink member Jisoo and talented actor Seo In Guk (Doom At Your Service, Café Minamdang) in the lead role.

This film is a romantic comedy with a unique idea, revolving around an overworked webtoon producer who finds love through a subscription-based virtual reality dating sho.w. Jisoo will play Seo Mi Rae, a career-focused creator whose love life suddenly changes when she receives a "Monthly Boyfriend" device that allows her to date perfect virtual boyfriends.

Seo In Guk will play Park Kyeong Nam, a rival webtoon producer who has a cold appearance but hides emotional depth. The complex interaction between his character and Mi-rae promises to create an interesting dynamic for the workplace romance story.

The film is directed by director Kim Jung-sik, who has worked on projects such as Work Later, Drink Now, and No Gain No Love. His experience ensures that the film will strike a balance between high-tech ideas and an authentic love story.

Boyfriend On Demand continues Netflix's investment in Korean content, after the platform has had a series of successful romantic movies. The announcement comes after Netflix announced its list of 2025 projects earlier this month.

The film marks Jisoo's return to acting after the success of Snowdrop on Disney and JTBC, as well as the new film Newtopia on Prime Video, which premiered in February, about a couple's journey to reunite amid a zombie outbreak in Seoul. In Newtopia, Park Jeon Min plays Lee Jae Yoon, who is completing his military service, while Jisoo plays Kang Young Joo, his girlfriend who is facing her first career challenges.

In 2025, in addition to filming, Jisoo's fan meeting activities are also of interest, in which Vietnam is also the place where she stops.

Recently, Jisoo's management company continued to "teas" the official poster for the fan meeting in Hanoi, and at the same time confirmed that the venue of the event was My Dinh Athletics Palace. The time of the fan meeting is set at 6 p.m. on March 30, promising to be an emotional and memorable night between Jisoo and Vietnamese fans.

Currently, besides information about the time and location of the fan meeting in Hanoi, Jisoo's management company has not yet announced the seat map and official ticket prices. Tickets for Jisoo's previous stops in Thailand and the Philippines have been on sale, with prices ranging from 2.3 million to 5.7 million VND, of which VIP tickets have the highest price of about 5.5 million to 5.7 million VND.
