Bridal trafficking in Asia and its endless pain

Economic difficulties, political instability, armed conflicts in countries where brides are trafficked are all causes of "fertile ground" for sex slavery and forced labor. In recent years, thousands of girls and women have been trafficked from Myanmar to China.

Every year, tens of thousands of women and girls from many countries in the region are trafficked into China with the lure of high-paying, stable jobs by traffickers. They were even sold by their own family members for dowry. Myanmar women are a prime example. They are frequently exploited and exploited by traffickers, forced into marriage or sold into sex.
