Miss Grand 2024: Que Anh makes fans "embarrassed" before the music disaster

The Top 14 Grand Voice qualifying round of Miss Grand International 2024 has just taken place. Unlike the previous two rounds, Miss Que Anh chose Vietnamese music to compete.

Despite thorough preparation from costumes, accessories to makeup and hair, the beauty queen's musical performance disappointed many audiences.

Specifically, Miss Que Anh performed the song Dat nuoc loi ru. The beauty queen opened the performance with a catchy voice and confident demeanor. However, when she entered the high range, her singing style changed significantly. Many opinions said that Miss Que Anh could not reach the high notes, and was out of breath, causing her voice to be unattractive and off-key.

In the second part of the song, Miss Que Anh revealed more flaws in her breathing and the way she sang the lyrics. Some people pointed out that she used her breathy voice to sing the highest notes possible. Some Vietnamese words were even said to not be pronounced clearly through her voice.

When compared to the two previous Grand Voice performances (Like that and Everytime we touch), many viewers agreed that Miss Que Anh's English and Korean singing ability was slightly better than Vietnamese. In addition, the beauty queen's choice of a difficult song that did not fit her vocal range to compete in the Top 14 was considered a risky decision.

Miss Grand Vietnam's outfit was created by designer Hoang Tony, using a striking yellow color scheme with animal skin patterns. To help Que Anh show off her sexy curves, the designer took inspiration from swimsuits with a strapless top that exposed the bust and a low-rise skirt with a high slit up to the hips.
