Minh Uyen is a familiar face in Vietnamese showbiz as well as the overseas artist community. She graduated from Hue Academy of Music, worked for 2 years at this music school before stepping into the professional singing career as a singer. Minh Uyen twice won the second prize, the third prize of the Hue city solo singing contest, 2008, 2009.

Minh Uyen once said that when she was a student at Hue Music Academy, she won the Miss University award, but because of an incident, she was stripped of her title and suspended from school for 1 year. But behind the things that make many people dream, behind the beautiful slim figure of that Hue girl are the waves and ups and downs that constantly hit Minh Uyen's life. When his career was having many opportunities for advancement, Minh Uyen decided to marry an Australian overseas Vietnamese and settle in a foreign country. Thought it was a road paved with roses, but no... That marriage gave Minh Uyen a lovely son but also left a wound, a deep sadness when the couple soon separated. Go.

Although following the call of love, the first time when going to a foreign country, Minh Uyen also encountered many difficulties. The sudden change in living and working environment caused her to fall into depression. Moreover, that time was also the time when she became pregnant and gave birth, her appearance changed, her physiology changed, she did not have many friends, lived far from her family, rarely sang, did not know the way, did not know. language... Too many things rushed Minh Uyen into a severe psychological shock.

Minh Uyen confided: "At first, I was shocked. Everything changed completely. Me and my husband at that time also often quarreled. Two people, two independent personalities living in the same house, inevitable. from time to time I am depressed, I cry every day I become extremely sensitive, I cry when I touch things, I still cry when I give birth, I still cry. Fortunately, it does not affect the baby, The baby is very pretty and cute. My husband also knows that I have a psychological shock but each child has their own stubbornness and ego is too high. redefine the problem and new life to overcome it".

This event is also an experience for which Minh Uyen is secretly grateful. Because, thanks to that, she focuses on self-development, being able to do everything on her own: from making money, taking care of children, cooking, sewing to fixing tables and chairs, drilling walls, mowing lawns... Being a single mother The body already has hundreds of thousands of difficulties and hardships, let alone Minh Uyen living alone in a foreign country. In addition to singing on weekends, Minh Uyen also makes specialty dishes in her hometown and sells them online. Besides, she also provides beauty care services at home.

Minh Uyen works day and night, as long as she doesn't have money, because if she doesn't earn money in one day, at the end of the month, she won't have enough money to pay the bills for house, car, electricity, gas, water, children to go to school and so on. hundreds of other kinds of money: "Normally, when I come home from singing at 1 am, the next morning, 5 or 6 am, I still have to get up in time to make cakes and deliver them to the shipper. Some days, I am also the shipper because of the service. Shipping in Australia is not as convenient as in Vietnam. Even though I have a dangerous disease, one day, I work for ten hours without rest, only come back late at night, remove my makeup, and then put my back to bed. rest," Minh Uyen confided.

In early 2020, Minh Uyen was diagnosed with lupus erythematosus. This is a serious disease because there is no cure, only drugs can be taken to partially limit the impact when the immune system works wrong, instead of attacking bacteria and viruses, it attacks its own body. When she learned that she had a serious illness, Minh Uyen was extremely depressed and depressed. Minh Uyen once said that at first, she had a joint problem and couldn't walk. When you wake up in the morning, if you want to go down the stairs, you have to hold onto it. The fingers are stiff, can't move, or faint, have a high fever, convulsions, medicine can't go down, the pain is like someone's muscle fibers have been torn, it hurts so much that you have to walk emergency.

"I found out that I have lupus. In short, my immune system is working wrong, instead of attacking bacteria and viruses, it attacks my own body. The doctor said it might be due to childbirth, I have been depressed for a long time, my body is weak, so there are no beneficial factors. It is considered a serious disease because there is no cure. I am currently taking medicine but only partially affected. , Minh Uyen talks about the dangerous disease she is fighting every day.

"I often faint, have a high fever, have convulsions, don't take medication, the pain is terrible, it's like my muscle fibers have been torn by someone. I have so much pain that I have to go to the emergency room. Take medicine to relieve pain. The pain didn't go away because the symptoms of the disease were similar to many diseases, so the doctor didn't detect it until I lost a lot of hair and then got a red rash. When I was first diagnosed with the disease, I was sad and cried a lot. After each cry, my condition got worse. I thought, I can't let my life go down like that. Every time I look at my baby, I come back. told me to get up, to be strong to overcome" - she added.

The past 2 years of the Covid epidemic were the two most memorable years of Minh Uyen's life because she had experienced the first death of her life, fighting with lupus erythematosus. "When I was in the emergency department, all I thought about was, who will take care of my children, if I stay here for a long time, who will pay the rent ...", Minh Uyen emotional recalled.

Despite having a serious illness, the female singer is not pessimistic, not discouraged. After 2 years of treatment, Minh Uyen's disease is gradually stabilizing. The little son is the driving force for Minh Uyen to overcome all shocks, obstacles and difficulties in life and gradually adapt to everything that comes to her in the most calm way.
