After receiving a complaint from Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy about Ms. Hoa showing signs of "Abuse of trust to appropriate property" in using charity money, the Investigation Police Agency. Khanh Hoa Provincial Police quickly began investigating to clarify the case.

On July 24, 2025, the investigation agency summoned Ms. Le Thi Thu Hoa and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy to work and announce the results of the criminal complaint.
