Miss Mai Phuong ended her colorful journey at Miss World 2023 with a Top 40 final position. Recently, Mai Phuong had the opportunity to interview with the press to share about her journey of "carrying a bell to beat a foreign land" in India.

She said: "Before flying to India, I was very afraid of death. The first time I flew alone, I was very naive thinking there would be no Vietnamese people on the plane. When the flight was delayed for 1 hour, I I sat listening to music and was still scared. When my phone ran out of battery, I met a nun and we both confided a lot. When we got on the plane, there were many Vietnamese people on the trip. I was very happy at that time. When we landed, the nun still cared for me and when I got back to the hotel, I texted her to thank her very much.

I believe that sincerity will be reciprocated in a different presence when I spread positive things. At the competition, I also had many nightmares and was reassured by other contestants. When I got over it, I found it interesting and magical."

In addition, the queen from Dong Nai also said that the thing that made it difficult for her in India was the weather. "I was quite surprised because it was only 16 degrees Celsius. There were times when it was lower. After the welcome dinner, some of my friends and I got sick, affecting our health. But that didn't mean I neglected my exams. . I think this is also something to keep in mind when going abroad. We must ensure good health..."

When asked if she felt uncomfortable with Indian cuisine, Mai Phuong expressed her excitement. She said that Indian food is not too difficult for her to eat, so she freely enjoys it. However, some dishes featured a spicy flavor that caused Mai Phuong and a few contestants to have stomach problems. "Fortunately, I had prepared medicine so I wasn't too worried. I also brought a rice cooker given by Ngoc Hang and some rice that Ms. Dung and her crew prepared. I saw a whole journey in India. It's very fun, I eat a lot and I don't encounter any difficult obstacles," the 9X beauty happily said.

The fact that Mai Phuong brought 5kg of rice to India made many people worry about whether they would use it all or not. The queen revealed: "I brought 5kg of rice to "entertain" my international friends and cooked about 2-3kg. On important days, I will cook the night before, so that I can have hot rice the next morning. I held a "rice party" with the contestants, there was canned fish in tomato sauce, anchovies, cotton tea, seaweed soup... but the main thing was rice. I cooked 3 big pots, everyone complimented the rice was delicious but Still not enough and luckily no one complained about... the stomach."

Sharing about whether she felt disappointed when she only stopped at the top 12 Miss World, Mai Phuong happily said: "I feel happy. Because I didn't get that position, I also have a talented and beautiful friend. The top 12 have representatives from Australia, Lebanon and India. The Australian girl is a contestant that I have the opportunity to talk to a lot. She is very cute. I feel all my emotions subside, of everyone is already on the Miss World stage.

Currently, I cherish my journey at Miss World. I restarted everything and started a new journey without sadness or regret. Because I did my best, so did the others.
