Mai Chi Cong's father also explained that the age is calculated in months (Mai Chi Cong was born in 7/2002) so she is not yet 14 years old. When registering with the organizers, there is no problem, so the family is assured to let their children take the exam.

Regarding the phrase "I have not studied singing anywhere", Mai Chi Cong explained that she just wanted to talk about the time 2 years after stepping out of the Vietnamese Child Singing Contest. The contestant's father shared that the sentence didn't mean anything, just a misleading way of saying it.
