Musician Luu Thien Huong's decision to submit her resignation letter surprised many people when a few days earlier, Luu Thien Huong announced that she would continue to teach at the persuasion of the school's leadership. Sharing with the media, she confided:
"I have been teaching as an expert at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music for 5 years now, with the largest number of students in charge here. In recent days, my parents and students have expressed their hope. wants me to continue my work. I am also in the process of guiding graduate students and do not want to let my personal emotions affect their academic results."

On January 12, Luu Thien Huong said the person she was referring to was Meritorious Artist Minh Huyen and posted a video of Minh Huyen throwing the phone at her.
According to a report from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, on January 10, at Concert Hall B, the Faculty of Jazz-Pop-Rock and Music Technology took place a semester exam for students. During the exam, Luu Thien Huong and Vo Thi Minh Huyen clashed and argued about their expertise when grading. After the incident, Acting Director of Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music Hoang Ngoc Long received a petition from Luu Thien Huong, accusing Minh Huyen of violating ethics and insulting colleagues.
School leaders said that after convening relevant parties on the evening of January 12 and investigating the incident, the school realized that Minh Huyen's behavior was wrong and lacked the standards of a teacher. Both then apologized to their work unit for causing a noise that affected the school's reputation. The leadership criticized the two lecturers, asking them to seriously reflect and not let a similar situation happen.
After the mediation, Luu Thien Huong deleted the controversial video. She said the conservatory's leadership convinced her to continue teaching.
