Meritorious Artist Vo Thi Minh Huyen was born in 1974. She was born and raised in Hanoi in a family whose mother is an artist, who was the head of a opera and cai luong art troupe.

With a passion for music since childhood, Minh Huyen studied at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now the Vietnam National Academy of Music). Around 2010, she decided to "go South" and began artistic activities in Ho Chi Minh City. She shared about this decision: "I think reaching audiences in the South will bring more opportunities, after years of being in the Northern country. I want to find myself through music. and strive to conquer the Southern audience. After being attached to the songs of famous musicians, I hope to have the opportunity to sing the works of young musicians, especially in the region. This dynamic Southern land. Currently, Meritorious Artist Minh Huyen takes on the role of lecturer in the Jazz Pop Rock Music Technology Department at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, contributing to educating and imparting artistic experience to future generations.

Although her career had certain successes, Minh Huyen had a failed marriage. In 2004, the female artist then had to go to court to resolve the final disputes with her husband.

Specifically, Meritorious Artist Minh Huyen's ex-husband is Mr. Pham Hoang Minh Long. According to information provided by the press at that time, after a long period of conflict, the two decided to "go their separate ways". However, because of a dispute over common property, the couple had to go to court.

According to Cong An Nhan Dan , after questioning the parties involved as well as information obtained through the debate in court, the final conclusion: accepting the divorce of Mr. Pham Hoang Minh Long and Ms. Vo Thi Minh Huyen. According to the female artist's ex-husband, in May 2000, he represented the family to buy the above house for 230,000 USD. The money to buy that house was the savings of his parents and family. Because the amount of money was so large, the house payment was done in many installments and he also had to borrow more. Mr. Long also admitted that the house payment took place while he and Minh Huyen were married. But Minh Huyen did not contribute to that sale.

As for Minh Huyen, she said that to buy this house she borrowed 50,000 USD from her sister-in-law, Maria, plus the amount she sold from the old house in Mai Dich for more than 200 million VND. However, Maria's loan documents did not have Mr. Long's signature and there was no paragraph about borrowing that amount of money to pay for the house at No. 6 Yen Thanh Lane. With the apartment in Mai Dich, Minh Huyen's home buyer paid her biological parents, not the couple directly receiving this money.

The final result was that the female artist had to accept losing the case.

Before that, in 2003, many of Minh Huyen's audiences at that time would surely still remember the story of the female artist being terrorized with lubricants. Specifically, at that time, Minh Huyen and his lawyer were traveling from Ba Trieu Street to Ho Xuan Huong Street, Hai Ba Trung District, when a motorbike carrying two young men holding plastic buckets was thrown at them. I overcame those difficulties, although not overnight..."

Currently, Meritorious Artist Minh Huyen is working at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. It is known that she is an enthusiastic and quite strict lecturer during class hours.
