Becoming famous and influential figures, Kpop stars are always "prey" of scams. If Lisa shocked her fans with the amount of money she had been scammed, IU has fallen into this unwanted situation three times.
Recently, Shinhwa's Lee Min Woo shared a heartbreaking story about how a close person the singer knew for 20 years, who later became a scammer, took all his assets.
On the October 16 episode of Channel A's "Table for Four", Lee Min Woo shared his life story and talked about the difficulties he faced during his childhood. He revealed that he had to helplessly watch his mother cry when she couldn't pay the bills, and that he was only in first grade when their house was confiscated.
But what shocked viewers even more was the story of how a long-time acquaintance defrauded him of all his assets and left the male singer extremely shocked. Lee Min Woo's sister further explained how this bad guy took advantage of Lee Min Woo's weakness to threaten and blackmail the male singer as well as cause mental suffering to his family.

I have been to many places. like that and have been scammed about 3 times. They often ask me to pay 3 million won (more than 55 million VND)."

Initially, company A commits to paying employees in "coins", and can then exchange the coins for real money. In just one day, Mina earned coins up to 8 million won (about 146 million VND) and tried to exchange them for real money. However, Party A requires Mina to deposit money to withdraw coins.
Trusting the company, Mina transferred money to the company 6 times with an amount of up to 15 million won (about 273 million VND). By the time Mina realized she had been tricked, it was too late. Company A even threatened to spread the news that Mina had to work part-time in the chat room.
Not stopping there, the company convinced Mina to send back 15 million won and delete the photos (in the chat room) if she sent them photos of herself and AOA members.
Regarding this issue, a cultural critic told OSEN news agency:
"The public pays a lot of attention to celebrities. Controversy can break out even if they do the smallest thing wrong. This is the reason why celebrities try not to come out (invest) themselves. There have been many cases. A case where a celebrity trusts an acquaintance to do important work for him and ends up being scammed."
