Lindo - a member of the African team has long been loved for his honest, approachable and quick-witted personality at work. Recently, he has attracted attention when showing off his talent in making many Vietnamese dishes that are loved by the people of Angola.
Those who follow Quang Linh Vlog and his Youtube clips will be familiar with Lindo, a native boy from the African team. Born into a poor family, Lindo received enthusiastic help from Quang Linh Vlog in all aspects. He is also one of the first members who has been closely attached to the African team until today.
Along with recording daily life in Angola, Lindo is also very good at cooking. He knows how to cook many Vietnamese dishes and most recently, this Angolan guy also showed off his talent in wrapping grilled pork rolls wrapped in betel leaves and selling them at the market.
Lindo prepared all the ingredients for the grilled pork rolls from A to Z, including lolot leaves, minced meat, seasoning powder, pepper, fish sauce and cooking oil. Interestingly, Lindo even knew the "local language", he said to add "soup" instead of saying seasoning powder as usual.
Lindo first minced the meat and then added the spices. Seasoning it from start to finish, he didn't forget to "just add a little bit of this", "it's very fragrant", "Lindo can smell the fragrance". He didn't forget to add a little cooking oil to the meat, then mixed it well and started wrapping the patties.
"We don't have 'plastic hands' here, guys," Lindo said. What he meant was that he didn't have plastic gloves, so he had to use a bag to cover his hands. However, the plastic bag couldn't be wrapped, so he had to take it off, saying, "Your hands are clean, don't worry."
Looking at the meticulous way this guy wraps the lolot leaves, it is clear that Lindo is a very skillful cook. He even knows how to tie the stems to secure the lolot leaves after wrapping. Vietnamese women are often not as skillful as Lindo.
In the middle of the Angola market, there is a small food stall owned by Lindo and his wife, which sells grilled pork rolls made with lolot leaves that he has just finished making. Each piece of sausage is sold for 50 Kwanza/piece (about 3k).
It can be seen that Lindo is quite quick in selling, he does not fry the meat at home but brings it to the market to fry, the aroma of the meatloaf spreads throughout the market, attracting the curiosity of many people. Not only selling the meatloaf wrapped in betel leaves, Lindo also mixes the right Vietnamese dipping sauce to eat with it. Many people tried it and found it delicious and asked to buy it, making Lindo and his wife unable to keep up.
Many people felt disappointed when they couldn't buy Lindo's grilled pork with betel leaves. Netizens exclaimed: "It smells so good, Lindo, the aroma of the grilled pork with betel leaves has reached all the way back to Vietnam."
Before opening the restaurant, Lindo was known as the "god of Vietnamese food" because he was very skillful. This African guy can prepare many dishes such as fried spring rolls, bread, black bean dessert,... which are very eye-catching and most importantly, very delicious. He also brought these dishes to sell at the market and they also "sold like hotcakes".
Lindo's real name is Manuel Arlindo, born in 1997, has a wife and 2 children. He is one of the first people to join the African team. He is considered honest, hard-working and intelligent, so he receives support and trust from Quang Linh.
After working with the YouTuber from Nghe An and the African team, Lindo's life has changed a lot. He was the first person in the African team to be helped by Quang Linh to buy land and build a large house. Currently, this guy also has his own YouTube channel with nearly 630k followers.
Since meeting Quang Linh Vlog, Lindo has always expressed his special love for Vietnamese culture. He has been taught Vietnamese by the Nghe An guy for many years and now can communicate as well as a native. To practice the new language, Lindo also opened a class to teach children in Angola to learn Vietnamese, which made netizens excited.
