With just a short announcement overnight, Khoa Pug unexpectedly caused a stir on social media. The clip quickly climbed to the top of trending topics, triggering a series of unbelievable changes on the YouTuber's TikTok account in just two days.
On the evening of February 10th, the online community was surprised when Khoa Pug posted a video on his personal TikTok account announcing his current financial situation. In the clip, the YouTuber frankly shared: "I've failed, guys. In this video, I just want to let you know that I'm bankrupt. Lately, I've been continuously losing money on investments."
This statement quickly created a powerful impact. In less than 48 hours, the video surpassed 5 million views (as of the morning of February 12th), becoming the most-viewed content on his TikTok channel to date. The widespread reach demonstrates the public's interest in the news of Khoa Pug's bankruptcy after a long period of investment.
Not stopping there, on February 11th, Khoa Pug continued to upload another new video to further explain the reasons for his financial losses. By 10 AM on February 12th, this video had attracted over 1 million views. The surge in interaction was not only seen in the two aforementioned clips but also spread to older videos on the channel. Many previously only had a few thousand views now have tens of thousands, even reaching hundreds of thousands of views.
The most noticeable change was in the number of followers. On the evening of February 10th, when the "bankruptcy" video was released, Khoa Pug's TikTok account had only about 18,600 followers. By the morning of February 11th, this number had skyrocketed to nearly 35,000. By the morning of February 12th, the number of followers had exceeded 56,300, more than tripling in just two days. This is considered a rare and dramatic increase on this platform.
According to data from Social Blade, Khoa Pug's TikTok account was created on October 5, 2025. However, he didn't post his first video and encourage fans to follow him through his Facebook fan page until January 31, 2026. At that time, the channel didn't even have 100 followers. Currently, after more than 10 days of activity, the channel has 21 videos, over 56,300 followers, and has surpassed 200,000 likes. Much of this growth occurred immediately after he announced his bankruptcy.
Previously, at the end of 2025, Khoa Pug introduced a series about traveling in China and maintained a regular content upload schedule on YouTube. He also announced a name change and encouraged viewers to follow him on other social media platforms. For the first time, he directly linked YouTube and TikTok on Facebook. However, after these changes, interaction on Facebook showed a noticeable decline, with many posts receiving fewer than 200 interactions.
2025 also saw significant changes on Khoa Pug's YouTube channel. Approximately 53 videos were deleted or moved to private mode. The content adjustment process began in late October and lasted until the end of the year. This caused a sharp decrease in the channel's cumulative views, with about 118 million views no longer counted towards the total. At one point, the channel recorded a drop of up to 68 million views in a single day, equivalent to about 10% of its total cumulative views when it reached nearly 1 billion views after almost 10 years of operation.
Notably, videos related to Johnny Dang, the DBZ cryptocurrency project, and his two leg lengthening surgeries are no longer appearing on the channel. These were all topics that had previously generated much debate.
