After the group disbanded, he switched to solo singing. He sang backing vocals, opening the show to create an exciting atmosphere. At the time when he was new to the profession, he did not have many opportunities to express himself, Tung Anh still persisted in raising his desire to become a professional singer. That journey was mixed with many joys and sorrows in the early years of singing.

In 2016, he decided to participate in the bolero competition program. The male singer thinks that this is a playground for him to learn more useful experiences from previous artists. However, Tung Anh's journey stopped in the final night of 9 into the top 4. He left many regrets in the hearts of fans and judges. After that, Tung Anh participated in the artist's version of The Singer of Love Songs and won the second prize in the end.
