Timeless: Reenacting Northern Floods, Soldiers Struggling to Save People, Bringing Tears

A representative of VFC suddenly posted a series of images from the film project Khong Thoi Gian. Immediately, these images received great attention from the audience because they directly reflected the current situation of many provinces in the North.

Specifically in this series of images, the audience sees the scene of soldiers trying to rescue people in the flood.

The film Spacetime was produced by VFC, in coordination with the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army. The first images of the film were revealed by VFC on the evening of September 12.

Last year, director Nguyen Danh Dung directed a notable film about soldiers called War Without Borders. Before that, he was known for hit films on VTV such as Come Home, My Child, and Flavor of Love.

After the success of War Without Borders, Nguyen Danh Dung continues to return with Space - Time - a film about soldiers (co-directed by Nguyen Duc Hieu).

VFC representative said that the film recreates part of the heroic and glorious war of generations of fathers and brothers, but also full of sacrifice and loss. At the same time, it depicts the dedication, contributions and sacrifices of the army in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland as well as preserving, promoting and spreading the noble values of Uncle Ho's soldiers in peacetime.

The film combines the past and present with interwoven narratives, clearly depicting the portraits of soldiers in each period. During the days when the whole country turned to the North due to the severe impact of storm No. 3 (storm Yagi), the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers straining to respond, rescue, and save their compatriots caused strong emotions. Therefore, when the first images of Space of Time were released, the film immediately received the attention of the audience.

Commenting on the VTV Entertainment fanpage, Nong Thi Anh wrote: "I haven't watched any movie for a long time, but when this movie comes out, I will watch it." Viewer Ngoc Vy Nguyen "looks forward to the movie every day."

Through the revealed images, it is easy to recognize some familiar faces of the actors, including Manh Truong. In Space and Time, the actor has to struggle through the pouring rain and storm to save the people.

Notably, this is the second time Manh Truong has played the role of Uncle Ho's soldier. Previously, he attracted attention with the role of Hung - a gallant and brave national guard - in the film Road to Dien Bien directed by Bui Tuan Dung.

On his personal page, Manh Truong shared a photo of his role in the movie Space of Time. The actor wrote: "Participating in this movie is a great honor for Truong. Thank you for the silent sacrifice of soldiers in wartime as well as peacetime. Respect and gratitude!".

In addition, Manh Truong revealed behind-the-scenes images of the rescue scene for people in the storm and flood. Sharing about this segment, a representative of the Vietnam Television Film Center said: "Reflecting the reality of social life is one of the strengths of VFC films. Remember a few years ago, in the tense context of COVID-19, we quickly produced 40 episodes of the film Unforgettable Days, full of the breath of life at that time. And with what happened in the past few days, when storms and floods threatened the lives of many people, before the touching images of soldiers sacrificing themselves to support and save people, a special film is also being urgently produced by VFC. Meritorious Artist Nguyen Danh Dung and screenwriter Trinh Khanh Ha of the film Flavor of Love continue to join hands in the film Khong Thoi Gian".

At present, after storm No. 3, many provinces in the North are seriously affected. Images of soldiers racing against time to rescue and provide relief to people in flooded and landslide areas appear continuously on social networks. That is why when VFC released images from the project Khong Thoi Gian, many viewers felt moved. Many compliments from the audience were given to the station, about the sensitivity and humanity of the film crew.
