The organizers have upgraded the benefits for high-class tickets just two days after Jisoo (BLACKPINK)'s fan meeting ticket sales opened in Hanoi. This change has made fans "some happy, some regretful", especially those who quickly owned VVIP tickets.
On the official fanpage of the Organizing Committee, the post announcing the benefits for the audience attending Jisoo's (BLACKPINK) fan meeting in Hanoi received mixed reactions. Many fans expressed their anger when the benefits of the most expensive ticket class - VVIP (4.8 million VND) - were not clearly differentiated from the lower ticket classes, making them feel that the amount of mone.y spent was not commensurate.
Controversy began when the Organizing Committee suddenly announced upgraded benefits for fans on March 21 - just about two days after the official opening of ticket sales. According to the new update, from ticket class C (VND 3 million) and above, additional benefits will be added.
Specifically, the warm-up activity (light interaction and relaxing chat with Jisoo before the show), which was originally only for VVIP tickets and the initial 300 VIP tickets, has now been expanded to all VIP tickets and randomly for A, B, and C classes.
Similarly, the send-off activity (saying goodbye to the artist after the show), which was only applied to ticket classes A, VIP and VVIP, has now been extended to ticket holders of B and C. As of now, the only benefit adjusted for the VVIP ticket class is to increase the number of people receiving autographed posters from 60 to 110 people.
Many VVIP ticket holders expressed anger, saying that the benefits they received were not significantly different from VIP tickets - which cost 500,000 VND less - or even from C tickets (3 million VND). Fans want the Organizing Committee to establish a clear hierarchy between ticket classes to ensure fairness and value for mone.y.
On March 22, the Organizing Committee continued to announce a number of new benefits exclusively for VVIP tickets, including: Poster (without signature), exclusive photocard and VVIP membership card. However, this move still could not calm the wave of anger from fans.
In the comments section of the post, many fans said that the additional benefits were just a formality, not really commensurate with the expectations of the highest ticket buyers. Some typical comments expressing disappointment include:
"Another card? What I need is to shorten the send-off time so that VVIP can interact more. In a stadium this big, Jisoo can only pass by, how can she interact?"
"We can even print that card and poster ourselves. What VVIP needs is time with Jisoo because fans probably won't get to see her again in their lifetime. But now the organizers are treating her like this..."
Besides the controversial opinions, some fans think that the fan community should accept the adjustment of the Organizing Committee, especially when the fan meeting date is approaching very soon.
They believe that expanding benefits to more ticket classes is also a commendable effort, showing listening and trying to create a consistent experience for the audience. Jisoo's fan meeting in Hanoi will take place on March 30, at the My Dinh Sports and Athletics Palace.
Previously, on the evening of March 18, Jisoo's side officially announced the seating chart as well as ticket prices for the fan meeting event that will take place on March 30 in Hanoi. This event promises to be one of the most memorable meetings for Vietnamese fans.
Accordingly, the fan meeting of BLACKPINK members in Vietnam will be held at My Dinh Sports and Athletics Palace, Hanoi. Ticket prices range from 500,000 VND to 4.8 million VND, suitable for many audience segments.
