BTS's Jin officially enlisted in the army division on December 13

According to industry sources, on December 13, Jin will officially enlist at the training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. After training there for 5 weeks, Jin will be assigned to the unit.

Recently, Big Hit Music issued a response to previous media reports, which stated that BTS member Jin's enlistment date has been confirmed. According to a Nov. 23 report, Jin reportedly planned to enlist as an active-duty conscripted soldier on Dec. 13, at a rookie training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do.

After training there for 5 weeks, Jin will be assigned to the unit. In response to the report, Big Hit Music stated, "We cannot confirm these details at this time. We ask for your understanding."

On November 13, the eldest BTS brother had an interaction with fans on the Weverse app. When asked by fans, "Oppa, next month is your birthday. Are you excited?" to which Jin replied, "No. I was on the front lines."

Based on the response, many speculated that "The astronaut" singer could enlist at a frontline base, near South Korea's northern border, around the Korean Demilitarized Zone. As winter approaches, those enlisting in front-line divisions are likely to experience severe cold weather, lack of hot water.

Moreover, some training centers in Gangwon Province regularly face multiple blizzards that last during the winter months. Soldiers are often trained to wake up early and complete snow removal tasks.

After hinting at his enlistment location, the BTS member quickly appeared on Twitter's trending top. At the same time, the keyword "Let me replace him" also trended on the platform as fans suggested replacing idols. Fans are worried that Jin will enlist in the winter and may face cold weather.

Around mid-October 2022, Big Hit announced that Jin had applied to cancel the deferral of military enlistment, and the BTS members will also take turns completing their military service in the near future.

BTS's agency Bighit Music has announced Jin's personal photobook project. The photo book will be released next month, before Jin officially enlists and begins his 2-year military service.
