Public opinion was confused when Ji Chang Wook's 4 million followers fanpage was hacked at midnight.
Hacking celebrity fanpage to sell is not a new form. Previously, a series of Facebook pages with green ticks of foreign artists and celebrities were also hijacked to broadcast sales videos.
Recently, the fan community of Ji Chang Wook was extremely surprised when it was announced that the actor's fan page with 3.6 million followers has changed its name. Notably, the name of Ji Chang Wook's fanpage was changed to the Vietnamese name "Van Anh".
This surprised the fan community. Because, this fan page with nearly 4 million "follows" is run by Ji Chang Wook's management company. According to a source in the Ji Chang Wook fan community, this fan page has been hacked. It is noteworthy that the character who hacked this fanpage is said to be Vietnamese. However, this is just a share from the online community, there is absolutely no concrete evidence of this.
Born in 1987, Ji Chang Wook is one of the most famous Korean male actors today. Ji Chang Wook is famous through movies such as: Laughing at Dong Hae, Empress Ki, Savior, Codename K2... He is considered "the actor with the cleanest private life in Showbiz Korea".
This is not the first time a famous artist's fan page has been hacked. Before that, there were also more ominous cases. Even these people have the guts to livestream sales on the green tick accounts of celebrities.
Specifically, on October 13, many users discovered that the official Facebook page of singer Zion.T suddenly changed a girl's avatar. In the afternoon of the same day, Vietnamese netizens were extremely surprised when they received a livestream announcement from a former YG artist - but it was a livestream to sell shorts online of two unknown Vietnamese.
"I discharge 199,000 VND / 4 pants, shipping at the same price of 30,000 VND nationwide. Goods are elastic, check and then receive. Close the order and leave a phone number", the title of the livestream video calls for buyers. shop on the Zion.T Facebook page.
"Yes, please leave your phone number for me to advise and ship the goods to me as soon as possible", the Zion.T account replied to comments on the page.
In the Page Transparency section, Facebook says this fanpage was created on August 21, 2015. On September 14, the page was renamed from "Zion.T - ìì´ì¸í°" to "Zion.T". At that time, many people predicted that this page was managed by a Vietnamese account because before the incident, this account still responded to user comments in Vietnamese.
In the description, besides the Musician/Band category, the Zion.T page has also added an option for Men's Clothing Store. This fanpage has 107,000 followers, all old posts have been deleted, but the cover photo is still the image of the male singer.
Possessing a relatively high number of followers, this livestream immediately received a lot of attention.
Although this is a fanpage that has not been used for a long time, Zion.T immediately created another fanpage immediately after being hacked, but this cross-border and transcontinental hack also made many people worried. Although the accounts are sovereign, proven with the Facebook green tick, they can all easily fall into the hands of others.
There have been many famous people in the world who have been blatantly robbed by Vietnamese hackers whose accounts have green ticks. Previously, fan Branislav Ivanovic - former Chelsea player also expressed displeasure when his Facebook account with green tick was hijacked, livestream selling Vietnamese goods. Or actress and writer Cheri Johnson, famous Qatari journalist Mazen Alrays or deceased politician Abiola Adeyemi Ajimobi... also fell into the same situation.
Occupying accounts with green ticks, because of the better coverage of News Feed than regular accounts. Therefore, hackers do not hesitate to take over these accounts, in order to resell them to customers and make a profit.
In addition, many scammers can take advantage of green tick accounts to send donation links, mistaken virus links to steal information.
